Well, I got a problem with my resolution.
I can't change it the game just freezes and I tried deleting the settings file and reinstalled it.
So can anyone upload or PM me a settings file with the resolution set to 1680 x 1050 32

Does it also freeze out if you wanna change it to other than 1680x1050x32?

i think i got the same problem..
does it also freezes when you quit the game or when you alt tab out of it?

My VC/LC freezes when I change screen res, came with vista (for me, never had it on XP) But I never really though anything about it. I change it it freezes then crashes, start it back up again and the game will be at that resolution.

When I start it again its still at 640x480 x 16.
Can anyone send me a settings file with resolution set to 1680x1050 x 32?

Yee... i can i think... You can change that with an Registry entry... i'll try to make one. What screen size do u want?

Stevex - 1680x1050 x 32

and me - 1024x768 x 16

Maybe cause.... YOU HAVE A SMALLER MONITOR
I can give you 1440x900x32 cause I go with a 19" monitor only. Boxxx plays in 1680x1050x32 btw, try it at him

Right click the shortcut for gta-vc.exe, select "Properties" and add this after the "...Rockstar Games/Vice City\gta-vc.exe" part "+menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050"
It works for Battlefield 2 but i have no idea if it does for Vice City, it's worth a shot i guess though.

here is the settings file for 1680x1050x32 just chagne your controls since those are my personal favorites  put it in the gta vc user files.

I tried the settings file but it diddn't work, then i found out that you could change the compatibility.
This worked for me.

Just a suggestion. Try.
Desktop Right Click -> properties -> Settings -> try choosing the resolution you want, or the closest one.
GO TO VC : Display settings -> Choose what you Chose at "settings" ^
