Scanline Tutorial[/color]


Scanlines are diagonal lines that can be used on signatures, backgrounds, ect. They are commonly used on userbars. Here is an example of them being used on a signature:

Step 1: Create a new document using these sizes:

Step 2: Press D to reset the colours. Then zoom in as far as possible.

Step 3: Create the following, using 3 squares from the Marquee Tool, or drag the pencil tool diagonally.

My Selection:

What you should get:

Step 4: Press CTRL + A, then navigate to Edit > Define Pattern. I saved mine as "Scanline"

Done! You can apply this effect to almost anything.

what's the difference beetween the 2 sigs?

lol, I use 1600x1200 so I couldn't see the difference, now I see, nice I like it ;P
