Title: GTA San Andreas fps recording trouble.
Post by: Willzyyy on July 21, 2008, 10:07:33 AM
Hi. I am trying to record stunts in San Andreas but when I do, it drops to 15fps. I have set fraps to record my game at 25fps (With Frame limiter on), but when I record, it goes to 15fps and sometimes 11fps. I then record at 30fps, the same thing happens. I then change my game to Frame Limiter off and it still records at a VERY low fps. Is this to do with the following:

1. My PC is too full?
2. My game has the wrong resolution settings?
3. My PC has the wrong resolution settings?

I just can't get my game to record at 25fps.

Your pc may not be good enough to record at a constant FPS due to the hardware. Try recording at 12.5 fps and then double the speed in vegas when you come to the editing stage.

No sync is actually if you're recording Video WITH a sound.

I think I figured it out. I changed my game and my PC to the same resolution, then I do my stunts with FL off and I record them with Frame limter on and now, oldy, it records at 20 / 21fps.  Only a bit of speeding up is needed now.

If you're going to speed them up anyway, you might as well record at 12.5 fps and double it to make it a) easier and  look more natural and less modded .

just click no sync, that makes it so that even if you would record at 5 fps, it would actually be at 25 fps

Ok, thanks guys. I will do the no sync thing and I have tried the 12.5fps option aswell. They are both fine.

Thnkyou very much. I also realized my resolution was at the highest in my game. I lowered the res. and my game still looks good and records at 23fps.
