You're a moron. Did you think that I wouldn't have checked it out? Well, I did. And the reason I chose 8800GT is that it's alsmost as effective as HD4850. And another reason is that HD4850 wasn't able for weeks since it had run out of the store.
Thanks for all the nice comments, guys. <3

Congratulations, have some nice days with your new computer.

keep it in your pants big boy

HD4850 is about as effective as 9800GTX...
You'll have less noise, heat and power demands to worry about though.
-
Which card you mean with that "have less noise, heat and power demands"..?
Gigabyte HD4850: 512MB, GPU 625MHz, Memory 1980MHz, 256-bit, 165,70 euros.

Take a look on that page and the next pages how the HD4850 fucking buttfucks everything in the same prize range
EDIT: And the HD4850 generates quite a lot of noise as the cooler sucks balls so it also gets kinda hot.
I'm getting two HD4870's to run in Crossfire as soon as Arctic Cooling or someone else put out a better cooling unit.
Hopefully AMD has cleaned up some of the drivers bugs by then too.

Good For You!
-
Yeh at those games.. I don't play war games. And they won't act at same way in every game.
Edit: Good for you.. I don't have enough money for HD4870. :x
-
Pretty cheap isn't it

Pay attention to the huge ass resolution and then ask yourself the simple question, out of the millions of gamers in the world, how much of a percentage actually play using that resolution?
don't forget to look at different resolutions and the frames for the GT and the HD 4850. Looks as though the GT actually still stands tall compared to the HD and the HD OC. Oh and if the price range is £140-£160 roughly then the 8800 GTS 512mb would probably dominate the HD 4850, though they didn't use the card in the tests shown.
-
Who wouldn't play in those resolutions if their computer allows it?
-
Who wouldn't play in those resolutions if their computer allows it?
Exactly.
Btw, is there any games which let you play with 1440x900 resolution or do you need to play with some else?
-
Most games should support that or 1680x1050... i play Gears of War in 1920x1200 Full Details @ 60fps btw huh huh
-
Okey. Btw anyone got suggestions for some games I should get for my new PC? I already got these games but I want moar;
-GTA San Andreas,
-The Sims 2 + University, Nightlife, Pets and Free Time,
-Trackmania Sunrise Extreme,
-Trackmania Nations Forever (which I probably won't install)
-RallySport Challenge
-
I'd buy a HDD if I were you . Unless you already had one before ordering, then its okay. No idea what you're into, but I would recommend some RTS games...a few favourites being Rise of Nations and Age of Empires, they're great fun when playing with a couple of friends online whilst on skype etc.
-
civilization IV is great. depends what you're really into.
-
Yeh I have extra HDD (250GB) which we added to the old PC few years ago. And I think that I like mostly racing games and games which are like GTA's, where you can go freely. Also I like of "The Sims" -type of games, where you can control everything.

Surely you don't.
-
Same system I should be getting, except the other stuff, case and PSU. Still a pretty good deal for a complete setup.
-
buy BioShock, Call Of Duty 4 and Test Drive Unlimited
-
hmmm so you like virtual life sims? try some of the tycoon games, the movies. NFS errrrr thats it reallyy.
-
Bioshock
Call of Duty 4
Gears of War
Mass Effect
Race Driver GRiD
The Witcher
And Worms Armageddon.
-
Worm Armageddon is pretty important
-
Why Worms Armageddon? It's 2D so shouldn't I get some which is in 3D? Also the Race Driver GRiD seems worth of getting it. But we'll see..
-
Worms Armageddon = Epic nostalgia
and no matter how drunk you are when you get home, you'll be able to play it and give you the feeling of being able to achieve something as you didn't get that hot chick home with you... worms is crucial to your existence.
-
So I guess you're using it quite often, aren't you?
Joke.
-
It's become my best friend
