Title: Recording problems
Post by: JL on February 05, 2008, 03:14:46 AM
Ok, the problem is this: I want to record with the resolution 1280x1024, which is the highest I can on my PC. Now the problem is that Fraps keeps resizing it down to 640x480. Anybody knows why?

Here are my settings in Fraps:

You dont have a dual core processor so wont work, highest is 1280x800 or 1152x864.

What boxXx said: Unless you have a Dual/Quad-Core processor Fraps downscales it to 1/2 of the original resolution.
Record it in 1280x720.

I could record 1280x768, but I prefer 4:3. :S

Please don't... 4:3 looks horrible on my 16:10 monitor.
Talk to boxXx, he has a walk-around method that lets him run SA in 1280x720.

What should i do if i want to record at 16:9 with 4:3 monitor? If i select widescreen and some 16:9 like resolution is SA i get a 4:3 picture but everything is thinner like teh monitor/vga/whatever squized the picture to 4:3.

Just pick a 16:9 resolution and everything is fine. At least it is for me.
