I have tried to render the same video twice but everytime it stops at 80% with a window that says some kind of error occured.
any help please?

First screenie your render settings and also screenie the error. We cant do much without that.

I'd say you did some shit on the time @80%.
-
i've had this happen once, just re record w/ the stunt was at 80% and try again.. i think the footage was corrupt or something lol
-
At me have happend that the rendering has stopped because i hadn't enough RAM memory on use to complete rendering. That meaned that i had too much programs on which used all my RAM memory
But it can also be that you dont have enough space on your HD where you are trying to render it.. or its like FF said, corrupted files.

Could be one of these 3:
1. Corrupt source file, re-record the stunt.
2. One of the video filters used on that clip causes it to crash, try to remove all effects applied to the clip.
3. Not enough available RAM.

This usually happens if I try to render something on Vegas 7.0, so I use 6.0. If you're rendering an HQ video (f.e 1280x800, with the bitrate set to 3) the problem might be with the bitrate. If you have it set to 3 while rendering an HQ video, try going with 5.

thanks guys, i think its probably to do with the clip so ill just try to re edit that bit

its only happened to me once so, if it happens a few times re install and if you have a real Vegas maybe get sony to hook ya up
