Title: Mouse Prob
Post by: GT-7 on January 29, 2008, 09:10:31 AM
Well, because i was bored and had nothing to do. I started to tune my old mouse to  practise.  The problem is that when i opened the mouse, there falled that  kind metal thingy (in the pic) and i didnt saw where it exatly belonged. Thats the one which makes the sound when you scroll up or down with your mouse.. So thanks again to who have opened his mouse before and knows where it belongs, or is it even neceassary?

It goes on the left side of the wheel with the 'hook' holding it in place and the curved bit pushing on the inside of the wheel. Hold on, I'll try to get a pic..

It does work without the spring too. I actually took it out of mine to make the wheel smooth.

Red and black are usually the power wires (red positive, black ground/negative). The voltage on the wire is 5V at 100mA, so you're probably going to need a resistor if you want an LED in there.
