Well i have got this small problem for ages already, but first at all, im the admin of our computer, and this is the problem.
I got a weird file in my music folder which i cant delete. And inside the file in another file and so on for like 5 times. Then when i come to the last file, it doesnt allow me to access on it.. It shouldnt be any system file because the folders/files names are bands/albums names ive had sometime on my computer. And when i try to delete the folder, it says that
"The folder [name] includes destinations which are too long to the trash can. Do you want to delete the file ultimately?"
When i press YES, it takes couple seconds, and then says: "You can't delete folder [name]: The content isint empty."
So that is my problem

You got vista?
-
No.
-
I have no idea then. Sorry.
-
Thats fine Anybody else knows...?
-
Tweak UI / Tweak XP. Or change it so you cant see it.
-
Try with Unlocker. It deletes/moves every file you want without bitching.
-
Find a program called Killbox. Deletes anything you want, including windows directory
-
Blaze: I got it, havent found the answer with it.
PaxtonfT: I have tried it when SL posted it into some earlier topic, didnt worked.
Aries: Ill try it

It's because it's making it seem in use.
Do the 'delete on next shutdown/boot up thingy. That should do it.
-
Yeah those are the programs I've used in the past also. Sometimes you can remane a file or folder, to something really stupid so you remember it's name, reboot and you might be able to delete it. There's also starting your PC in safe mode and from there you might be able to get rid of it.
-
close what ever program would be using them with a playlist etc.. shift+delete
-
Well im trying to remove it when boot
-
If there's files what is been downloaded (warez) u should close the p2p or torrent programs and try again
-
No there aint anything ive dled, and i dont have any p2p program on.
-
It didnt work Aries
-
Did you try the Safe Mode thing Neo suggested?
-
Well im trying it next time i start my PC, i just need to be fast because the screen where i can access there is only like for 0,25 seconds..
-
I've found that sometimes, a series of renaming files/folders and putting them in new folders, then deleting the outer folder, usually works for me.
-
move the folder into another folder, eg. Desktop to My Documents, then try delete it.
that usually does it
-
The Safe Mode thingy didnt work, but moving the files helped Thank you guys
-
Glad to see you deleted it, but what I do is I just use task manager. I close explorer and every little program under the user. Then I browse using task manager and delete the folder/file. Always works.
-
Too complicated for me Nitz
-
or download unlocker 1.8.5 then delete the folder so the error pops up, then unlocker pops up a screen press "Unleash" en then delete it again.
-
As i said already that i got the folder removed
