I really think you should spend some time using things other than random brushwork and coloring to make the backgrounds man, it looks very amateur. Keep practicing though.

Sure .p didnt invent it but he was the one who brought it here to GTAS and innovated the style a bit for his sigs.

Anyone got a good example of one of his?

i know but hes the one i remember it for and it was for fun not to show off my awsome photoshop skills if you would check my other threads  i didnt wanna spend an entire day making some really nice background for a fun little project lol. i made one a long time ago when he first started making them but i cant find it anywhere. Quoad that was me lol, the one with link in it right?
