isnt it obvious, 07 is newer, meaning it has more features or works better.

Its like vegas 6 vs Vegas 7

Both suck. They are from Microsoft. It's a fact  

Therefore, if you don't have a choice, I would choose the 03 'cause since it's a Microsoft product it has to be less restrained. It's more like Windows 2000 - Windows Vista than Vegas 6 or 7 IMO...

In one you could do lots of things without asking the permission to your computer every second. In the other you can't.

Go for the 03.

I have Office 2003 and I have nothing to complain about. Go for the 03.

I have Office 2007 and I like it  I do my homework with it everyday.

Look for some OpenOffice tweaks which support index for documents etc.

The microsoft product sucks. If you get one, get 2003, its faster and does have less bugs it seems...

There's nothing wrong with 2007. It functions in the same way as 03 except it has a different look and a few more feature's added.

I have Office 2003 and it's fine.

Perhaps '07 has more features, but all the basics are enough to me.
