Title: What's wrong.
Post by: KillaMarci on October 06, 2007, 08:37:11 AM
Hey guys ,My friend called me some minutes ago. He got his new CPU  Heatsink , so he asked me to install it ( i have the same one)
I installed it just like I installed mine.

Temps before the new heatsink 42° idle
with the heatsink 38° idle

4°?
Mine was like this:
Temps before the heatsink 48° idle
Temps with the new heatsink 20° idle

Well , what's wrong? Or what could be wrong? Help

Did you apply the thermal gel on the heatsink before installing it?

Or is his case dusty and/or crowded with wires?

Or has no airflow?

Ambeint temps play a HUGE part in the CPU temp.

besides you shouldnt be worrying about idle temps, what really matter are the load temps

He isn't worrying about the temps , he just wants them to be lower so he can overclock
