Title: Tiny wallride to long, twisty grind
Post by: Kingjad on July 30, 2007, 06:40:59 PM
I have decided to issue a stunting challenge, that I have opened up for everyone on GTAS considering TMS can't seem arsed to give it a go hehe

Video clip (http://media.putfile.com/Grind-whole-rail-for-TMS-only)

The challenge: Wallride rail and begin grinding, and COMPLETE the entire grind all the way around. This can be done either the way I did it, or starting from the opposite side.

First one to grind the entire rail after wallride gets 50,000 forum points. That should be a good incentive  it's a very old-school challenge, but never has the entire rail been completed. I think I've gotten the furthest (have done better attempts than this - getting stuck slightly further up) so someone complete this challenge and win themselves a stack of points haha!

Looks very hard , since you can't get pretty much speed for the grind. Maybe this is even impossible  who knows

Wow, it seems hard to keep on it the whole rail. I guess many people will give it a try for the money

Rarely I've driven quite fast at it, merely bumped into the air, did a spin before grinding the rail partially. Whether you wallride it or get a bit of a freak bump, do it naturally, from the ground, in a similar fashion that I did it in, but fully completed.

It's a fun stunt to try due to the fact it can be attempted from BOTH sides, going opposite directions, and requires a short run-up with no secondary vehicles. A spawner is all that's needed for the inevitable visits to the water.

Too bad grav-modding would be useless here.

Actually gravmod does help on grinds

I noticed when I made Training Day (raised-grav video) that grinds were a lot harder when doing them with raised gravity, while if you lowered the gravity they became easy as shit.

Fair enough but this isn't grav modded . I downloaded my skills from GTAS Tutorials xD.
