Title: Refresh Rate

I have 21" HD tv as my moniter right. .

but when i change the refresh rate to anything higher then 60 i get some line down the center of my screen.
only shows up when i go on dark things eg this forum
and ideas what it could be ?

You higher you set the resolution you lesser can you set the refresh rate.
So if you set your resolution to like 800*600 you could set teh refresh rate to 100 or 120.

And btw flat screens can only take 75 hz.


Thats why CS pro gamers a playing with old CRT screens and with a resolution on 640*480 so they can feel the 100 fps


(if you have 100 fps and you screen can take 60 hz it only looks like its running with 60 fps)

I have 800*600 in CS and my fps is pwnage

To setup your refresh rate download Refreshlock , i used it on my old comp.

fixed the problem , my refresh rate was to high for the res i had.

yea maybe you have high fps but it only looks like you have that fps your framrate is on.


If someone was interresting i found out that you eyes only can see 72 fps

hahaha yeh thats what i always tell ppl. Some really wanna tell me they can see lag at 30fps - though, the eye wont make any big difference at 28fps and above.
