Title: VLC and MP4 not working

Ok, on my parents computer (brand new) I can't view mp4's. it's just a blank screen with the music playing, what's wrong?

Download 3ivx from here (http://www.3ivx.com/download/index.html)
Download Window Media Encoders from here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx)

And everything should work.

Windows media encoder doesn't work on mine, says my processor isn't right or w/e. (I'm on vista atm)

Well the best bit of advice I can give you is, format and install Windows XP Media Center (the Operating System).

Vista won't be that good for about another couple of years (it's so vulnerable right now) so I suggest getting another operating system.
