Challenge: Perform the best grind without using a bike in VC.
Please post your reps and optional vids in this topic before the deadline. Good luck!
-
Car grind? Go Feron .
-
GL both
-
Good luck to both of you
-
@ColdDeath: You mean like a ledge grind? It would be tough in a vehicle. My opinion would be to stick with traditional grinds.
-
My vote goes to Feron, good luck to you too ColdDeath!
-
lol at two things. Noap is gonna have a lot of stuff to do soon cuz it looks like all these matches end on the same day. Brandon has posted in like every match topic way to be supportive woot good luck from me too.
-
I guess I will have to fix these java problems later.
-
19mb for one stunt
-
Coolish idea .
-
Here is mine. Now before you go saying that I spawned the packer in the wall, I have found a somewhat new method mabey or somthing. Watch the rep included in the zip BK uploaded to yousendit for me. The rep is called "the packer setting up" Its not the exact way it set up for me, but thats the method I used to it set up. It just slides into the wall of the bridge after a few attempts when its set up on the edge like that.

Wow... everlasting grind ... nice one Feron.
-
Gigantic grind and creative Feron, it's no suprise who I like most .
-
I think that the judges will have a hard time with this one. Coldeath's idea was ridiculously insane, props for even thinking of it. But Necros had a hell of a lot more control, and grind time, which may matter more. It's technique against bravery, and I think technique will win out - but only just.
Very entertaining round though
-
yeah feron, nice stunt
-
Kingjad brought up bravery vs. technique...and he might be right to think that technique would win. But then you also gotta factor in originality, which I think would go to ColdDeath. And he did his in a cabbie, which is a bit of a bitch to control on the road, much less suspended on a rail lol
-
Tough call, you've got a flip2grind (kinda upside down grind) that was short versus a straight forward grind that was much longer, but was on two rails. Glad i've got the week to decide this one.
-
Good Luck Feron .. i will give my best
I've got a question ... is the stunt technik, to *grind* on house' edges, a grind? Like DELIRIUM, 2:02 in Reign Of Terror, it does? (and be sure, i mean not with pcj )
I did an amazing one for "Never Forget" however Jehde did a terrible job selecting what .rep's to put in and ended up putting 5 or 6 credit stunts in the actual video.
About Feron's stunt... It has been done a couple times from that spot (don't know if you've seen) and those rails have been well overused with taxi grinds. Just a thought. I was also wondering if you took old stunts into consideration.
-
Could you please tell me what video it was done in? I sersiously doubt it was anything like I did.
-
It was completed in Bad Luck if i'm not mistaken... not from a packer though but they're very similar.
-
Someone posted it as a "Longest taxi grind" once.
-

I personally do not care too much if the stunt is old or not. I don't think doing an old stunt is any easier, however I do give some thought to the notion that in doing an old stunt, the challenge of finding a stunt is gone, and that is part of the battle.
In the end, the executution of the stunt is far more important than anything else.
-

That was mike-somenumbers, the clip is in the end of Bad Luck.
-
I wonder how no1 haven't noticed that Feron's packer was spawned in the bridge, he have to redo the stunt with normal setup of the packer as i remember the rules says...
Sorry Feron, i had to...
-

This is funny as hell.

No problem then here, thanks for letting me know

ColdDeath: Your stunt is a very very risky project. To even think about trying to do a grind with a cabbie from that height is... Well I gotta say you got guts to try it at this point. Admire your guts, but its a little too much "Smacking into a grind" look to me.
Feron: Your stunt was inventive, with the new way of getting a packer stuck and all. Tho I don't know about the hardness to get on those 2 grinds like that, it didn't impress me that much.
My vote goes to: ColdDeath, his stunt was something out of the ordinary, even if he didn't grind that much, but hey its hard enough to even get that length.
Nice going both of you!
-
feroNecros's was much cleaner, and longer, but then again it his hard to fall off when you're on two rails...
this one could be tough...
-
Just my 2 cents:
Feron's stunt looked much better and cleaner, even if it was 2 rails, that was creative, and who cares how hard the stunt is, if a stunt looks good, IT IS good
ColdDeath's grind was, interesting, seeing that it is very hard to stay on a rail from that angle/height, that was a sweet grind too.
Even though im not a judge, my vote goes to Feron. (No, I won't call him Necros because that sounds like a brand of a condom)

I wouldn't use a condom who's brand is called necros, tbh

ColdDeath: Performing a car grind is often tricky due to how easy it is to get stuck, and performing a large drop to grind adds an extra element of toughness. So considering how hard it would be to get any sort of grind out of that you did pretty well - although the shortness of it is still hard to ignore.
Feron: Well for starters it was nice and long - the advantage of doing a grind like that where you can balence your vehicle nicely along the rails - and it had a nice little bump spin at the start. On the downside it isn't a new spot for taxi grinds, and although it was long it slowed down to a crawl for the majority of it.
My Vote: A tough decision for me - if either of them had a flip in them it would've made it alot easier . In the end I think I'm gonna have to give my vote to Feron, but it was a close call. I gave it the vote because I felt it was the 'best grind'. But definately props to CD for trying something original and difficult.
-
ColdDeath: Nice flip2upside down grind. But there was no real control to the grind. I know you can't "control" a car grind, but there was not a lot of balance and the grind was quite short.
Necros: Plain ole' boring grind, but the distance was excellent. Using two rails for the grind provided a lot of balance and made the grind very long, fluid and clean.
Since the challenge asked for a grind, I will cast my vote for the cleaner grind over the combo grind. Therefore, Necros gets my vote.
Its 2 - 1 in favo(u)r of Necros.
-
ColdDeath: Original Idea, how you managed to stay on the rail is beyond me. A bit flippy grind there and it wasn't very long, still looked good with the jump off the building.
Necros: Nice and long taxi grind, was really smooth cause of the double rails. However it felt a bit dull overall cause it looks a lot easier cause it's two rails.
My vote goes to ColdDeath. Although the grind was pretty short, it was an unexpected spot and a crazy grind compared to Necros more plain one.
-
Result:
2 - 2
-
Just waiting on Kabanchik to make his judgement.
-
He voted on the other ones..
But yea, i never see him
Cmon kaban!
-
I've sent Kabanchik a PM reminding him I still need some votes from him. I'll PM Boo (the 2nd alternate) and activate him.
-
I think feron's was deeper, but ColdDeath's had way more creativity.
-
ColdDeath ures was a pure ownage, its just awsome how u stood on the rail from that high. I VOTE FOR U.
-
ColdDeath wins this one! Nice stunts you two, it was a tough call.
