First of all, you will need photoshop, we are going to take three easy steps and you will have a border
1. First of all, you need to set the resoloution to the vegas project size... for example it might be 640x480, and set the contents to transparent

I assemble pixels while in vegas, I use about 9,000,000 layers.

VERY simple... Not a full tut either...

well, good for very beginners but they won't make the border right anyway using this tut =/

my tip is to place black lines like using the 16:9 pan&crop feature in Vegas and then design the border on it, so you won't have your video behind your border, that will be ugly, and i can say that SS's border have that mistake =/

Yeah I noticed the unique border Tack made in AOA. Cool idea, ok tutorial for people who want that same effect, and know absolutely nothing about PS and Vegas.
