Title: fraps + ati radeon x1950 problem
Post by: corevil on November 15, 2006, 11:54:32 AM
hey all, i hope somebody will be able to help me.

i buyed a new pc and a new video card: model ATI RADEON X1950XTX 512MB

the graphic of san andreas game is superb, no lag at better resolution and very high effect settings.

the matter is my new pc + san andreas + fraps...

i setted FRAPS with max 30fps (as ever with my oldvideo card) and it doesnt drop when frapsing.

using fraps i have a weird psichedelic effect both for videos and screens captured:

i tryed the newer version of FRAPS (2.8.1) but the problem with captured files still exist.

please give me a hand mates

Update drivers, try different color modes, try other games.

Oh and btw: GTA wont reach 30FPS - 25FPS is normal

1) the game dont have problems of any kind as i wrote the graphic is superb and no lag at all.
2) i think its a fraps problem with the video card
3) its teh latest ati radeon video card so no new drivers

Go to http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp64/radeonx-xp64.html (http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp64/radeonx-xp64.html) and download:

1) Catalyst Software Suite

2) WDM Integrated Driver

You have got a Dualcore/64bit, right? If not, don't install these drivers.
