Title: [VC] Skinning Tut

VC SKINNING TUT



you will need -

To know where your gta vc folder is (to locate the skins folder and your models/generic folder.)

Normaly -

C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\skins
or
C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\models\generic

A paint program (Standard paint is good enough...)

: Now this is kinda easy , im only posting this as i havent seen one YET...

In steps.

1. Open your models\generic folder , locate the BMP file player and open it.
2. (Optional) Open the texture guide in your skins folder
3. Now you should know what bits of the picture are on the model. (Texture guide explains)
4. Find your image/texture/picture/what you want the certain part to look like.
5. right click and copy what you want.
6. Say you want to edit his shirt , paste the item you want onto the picture.
7. Edit its size until it fits completely over the shirt area
8. Save this file as any name (not player) for example Skin1
9. DONT Save it in models\generic , save it into your skins folder.
10. Go into your game (Dont load your file) , click options , then player skin setup , a picture of tommy with his default skin will apear on the left , with its name and other skins on the right.
11. Just click your skin - (skin1) , and tommy will be wearing your new skin.

Heh, pretty helpful for newbies. But maybe you can provice graphics, to make your tut look nicer and let the newbies understand more, just a tip

Yeah lol i was thinking about pics but i just wrote that in low detail like , five minutes ago.
I might update it with some pics , if i can be bothered
