As u can see u see ALLOT of svghost.exe's, when i try to end this .exe's i get a windows pop-up saying that my PC will shut down.
And u can see the IEXPLORE.exe's, i cant remove those 2, when i do a new one will pop up.

I think I can safely say that svchost.exe is not a virus
-
lol, but why are there so many of them.
And what about the IEEXPLORE thingy's?
-
More than one...likely to be virused. That exe can contain many viruses inside it.
-
I have many svchost.exe's too, and I'm pretty sure they aren't virus...
-
10+ usually means you're infected. They are only used to load up stuff when you boot your pc, but sometimes people can manage to put nasty things inside them.
-
Get Fox in here, pronto
-
Limewire and Firefox are using a dumb amount of process, same with me... Firefox uses so much it's ridiculous
Btw, download Ad-Aware
-
Svchost = Good, dont try ending them lol, a normal virus scanner will get rid of any harmful replicated ones.
IExplorer = Internet Explorer, dont open that if you dont need to.
Limewire = Limewire, shut that down if you arent using it as well.
Everything else seems to be normal, just run some spyware checks with Ad-aware personal, some types of spyware can really make your computer slow.
-
Just scan it with any good anti virus program * Norton * .
-
Well its a virus i think , my pc is lagging to ,
Look hove much i have...
-
A virus would be doing something other than sitting there, just do a virus scan, delete any that come up, and then do a spyware scan
-
Ok Aries Thx

svchost is NOT a virus
"Svchost.exe" (Generic Host Process for Win32 Services) is an integral part of Windows OS. It cannot be stopped or restarted manually. It manages 32-bit DLLs and other services. At startup, Svchost.exe checks the services portion of the registry to construct a list of services that it needs to load. In normal conditions multiple instances of Svchost.exe run at the same time. Each Svchost.exe session can contain a grouping of services, so that separate services can be run depending on how and where Svchost.exe is started. This allows for better control and debugging.
