I have recently reinstalled Windows XP Professional. Before I could play videos perfectly fine. Now I am getting an error. So far this has only happened with san andreas stunt videos I have downloaded. I have tried in winamp, wmp9, and divx. Movies I have made myself for halo and other games work perfectly fine. Streaming a wmv does not work either. The video is green and other colors. I can actually see the stuff playing its colors are just tore apart. I think it is a problem with my drivers. It could also be my wmv codec. Not sure. I am downloading windows media player right now to see if this fixes my problems. If you have any help for me, please post. Thank you!

If you have a dell go http:// www.dell.com and installed the latest drivers and etc for your machine. And it should work perfectly.

No I do not have a dell. I have a home built pc/hp. It has SOME parts from hp but does not have any hp software. Just my ram and disc drives. I have a 1600xt ati with latest drivers.

I had a similar problem. What i did was, i downloaded the divx and xvid codec. Most of my vids play with those codecs installed. When i encounter a file that doesnt play with those codecs i just open it with VLC media player.

Yea see I have the newest divx xvid. I will look up vlc and try. Thanks.
Edit:VLC worked awesome! thank you very much!

I wouldnt recommend codec packs. Ive heard that many interfere with applications such as games.

Klite codec pack is the main one that causes trouble, maybe not for you but for many other people.
