Title: Text in vegas

Well I got vegas, trying to add text and a white backround covers the screen, how do I make it so that its only text?

Click the text in the red square and drag it into the timline.

I know how to add text.... Its still has a backround when I do that...

select the point where you want the text then click:

it'll make text from scratch
this is probably similar to simons solution but its what i use for making text

Ohhh, I forgot to say, anything you want transparent ALWAYS has to go above the layer you want it to show on, drag the text i showed and drag to a video track ABOVE the stunts track.
