OK...I'm new here, and to making vids....I have searched through the forums and haven't found an answer to my problem.
I am trying to add credits, etc. to my first vid, but I don't know how.
Captured with Fraps
Editing with VirtualDub
I don't have Vegas.... and the thread to help "buy" it has been closed.
Any ideas?
BTW Daffy...just DL'ed Blackout2...Holy shit dude! You are an inspiration.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download a trial of Vegas here. (http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/download/Step2.asp?DID=583)
Look at the bottom off the screen and find Media Generators - Credit Roll and drag'n drop the one you like to the timeline.
I wouldn't recommend editing the movie with Virtual Dub, VD is a program made for encoding movie... not editing the whole movie with it :)
Looking forward to the vid btw B)

Thanks Daffy!
I'm DL-ing it right now.
I think my vid will be pretty lame in comparison, but I'll let you know when it's finished.
Thanks again :)

There are various compression tutes around. Try Daffy's old compression tute (http://www.gtastunting.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4189), but I would suggest using a 640x480 render unless you recorded at higher.
edit:
lol, i missread comparison for compression, sry

He can still use it though... that reminded me about one thing... i gotta update the old tut with my new WMV settings.

Cool program! But....now I have so many more questions.
I left the vids captured by FRAPS in their original format :
AVI 1024 x 780
I can't see the vid in VEGAS if I open it like it is.
If I shrink it with VD (like to half size) I can view it then, but otherwise it just shows a black screen.
I planned on reducing it's size when it's all finished, when I also compess it into a different format.
My problem is that I'm running out of disk space, and when I reduce the size of the vids, they end up being larger files....wtf?
I would like to have the best quality that I can in the end. Should I just reduce everything first and then edit it all on VEGAS? Or is there another way?
I know I may be getting off topic here, but I really need help.
Thanks,
