ok here is my problem : everytime i try to render my movie in vegas it crash or lock up and i have to reboot the pc <_< , i thought it was a problem of virtual memorie so i put it to the maximum but it still crash :( , i tryed to lower my render setting but it still crash :( ( even at 512 kbps ) . my HD temperature is not high . i have a not so bad PC : a athlon xp 2700 + + g force 6800gt + 1go of ram . i hope you guys have maybe an answer to my question , thanks :)
ps : i use the 6.0c version of vegas

Hmmm i heard if you save it to a place like C: > program files then it renders quicker, i aint sure that might be bullshit....but i honestly don't have a clue what your problem is.
Are you saving it to a folder that has lots of clips (fraps uncompressed clips?) stunt videos or music?
or maybe you are using too many GB of clips. Are you using an unregisted version of FRAPS? if so then chances are your clips add up to a huge amount of GB and are over the limit of rendering, try to render one clip/less clips and see if it does the same.

i use the 1.9 version of fraps , i save the video on the desktop ( i will try in C/program files) , in my fraps folder the clip are uncompressed but its only 900 mb coz there are just 9 clip coz its for an audition video wich is just 1 minute long .

Try taking out your i/net cable, shut down any non-obligatory programmes(like MSN and stuff). That should give you some more power if I'm correct..

I had a similar problem,in my case my pc won't start to render and after 2-3 mins my pc rebooted out of the blue.I later found out the problem was that one of the clips i had to add had some sort of audio bug and Vegas would stop at 96% of building the 'peaks' for it (the shakey bent line under the clip),and after trying for 2-3 mins my pc rebooted because my cooler fan was full of dust and it wasn't operating at full capacity => Over heating and automatic re-boot.The render didn't start because apparently Vegas does 1 thing at a time (first it tried to build the peaks, then the render process would have started). If this is what happens to you i hope my solution helped. If this isn't it and your render starts but along the way the pc crashes then most probably its still a temperature problem,u'll be surprised how much dust can get on a pc fan especially if you keep the case on the floor.
