If you don't know how to bump on the benches, check this out:

YELLOW: Speed
BROWN: Start leaning back
BLUE: Hit this
GREEN: Try to hit this, and you will get a great height, and a massive spin.

its really hard I tried it on my ps2, but i kept hitting cars, and then theres the sidewalk that throws me off course.
