HELP !!! MOVING CAMERA - FPS DROP
« on: September 01, 2015, 11:21:59 AM »
I've some fps drops. First time, that I have started the game, it was running smothly. But when I have turned the game off 'incorrectly', and I've started it again, there appeard some sort of Safe Mode Option etc. After such thing, I have the FPS drops problem. Tho, only when I'm moving the camera, but in the driving mode, everything works fine(ofc without moving camera).

Did you check your graphics options?
Is the game running in windowed mode now?

Sometimes when mine gets shut down improperly, it boots back up in windowed mode. I've never heard of this "safe mode" so I'm not sure what it is.

I tried this but it didnt work
Try verifying your installation. This will let the Social Club launcher (or Steam, for Steam versions) verify all game files and re-download any that are corrupt or missing.
For the standalone, Rockstar Warehouse version:
Hit "Start", "Run", and type "cmd" without the quotes. Hit enter.
Type "cd c:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V" without the quotes in the cmd window that pops up. Hit enter.
Note: If you’ve installed the game to a different directory, enter that directory instead.
Type "GTAVLauncher.exe -verify" in this window (no quotes again) and hit enter.
For the Steam version:
Right click the game in the “Library” tab.
Click “Properties”.
Click the “Local Files” tab.
Click “Verify integrity of game cache…”

My specs:
i7 4790
960 gtx
8gb ram

// game runs in windowed mode but i changed to full in options.

After a forced alt-tab because Nvidia wanted me to update a driver (which I ignored) my in-game FPS, in that session, went down from 35 to a stable 14. When I launched it the next day it was fine. I have no idea how it could lose 20 frames from a involuntary alt-tab  :hmm:
