PSP Dudes, will PSP 2.80 be able to downgrade to 1.50 ever? Because if not, I'm gonna sell PSP Seriously, If there will be PSP 2.80 downgrader, I can wait for it, no matter, when it will be released.

Yes there will be one. I downgraded my PSP from 2.6 and now a 2.71 downgrader is released and maybe even a 2.8.

Its the version... the original PSP wheh it was out in the US was a 1.0, the 1.5 updater then came out adding more features (we use this for homebrew ) then as time went on sony added more to various updates and now 2.81 is the higest out... hacker teams are hot on sonys trail downgrading (quite dangerously) psp's i got hit by a faulty downgrader file and ended up with a bricked (never gonna work, usefull as a brick) PSP. So i bought a new one.

1.00, 1.50, 2.00, 2.10., 2.40, 2.50., 2.60, 2.70, 2.71, 2.80, 2.81

If you want to play downloaded games, you must have version 1.50. But if you have larger than 1.50, you can't put it to 1.50. BUT some PSP hackers made downgraders, so that you can downgrade to 1.50, but this is only possible for 2.71 and lower(for now) and you need LCS for it.

the 2.71 one doesnt need GTA

Also you would need the unpatched GTA LCS

If the UMD had a 2.00 update it's unpatched, if it says 2.60 Updater, it's patched and wont work.

You only need LCS for the 2.5/2.6 downgrader. Then just install devhook to emulate two firmwares (right now the limit is 1.5-2.6-2.71) and play your downloaded games from your memory stick , you at least need a 512mb card , 2gb is probably best for price.

I was able to downgrade my psp from 2.81 to 1.50 by pure luck.

i can't explain how i did as it was only alot of luck.

What hardware version you got? Non-Hardware 2.8x can be downgraded. Also there are modchips which allow you to use any homebrew with 2.8x and above

1.50 PSP is all about version 1.50.
