Turtle Boy vs. godson

Tis a hard decision but in the end it is clear.

COMPLAINT ALERT!

I've bit my lip for many sl entry vids for awhile now, but I just can't stand it anymore, probably cuz looking at all these submission takes alot of time, and i don't have alot of it atm. We know what the challenge is, i don't mind that you put it in the vid for reference to remind or inform those not familiar with the clip BUT damn, don't take 2 yrs to tell us. And for future reference for many of these vids, Use at least one clean constant shot, not 50 flash cuts. ok, now back to the goods

Turtle Boy: Great idea man. I have to say that I appreciate the fact that you used a non boosting vehicle. It was something I didn't expect.......but........the execution wasn't the greatest. The landing left me with a feeling of redo, redo, redo, for something a lil more IN the spot. Is that extra car necessary for the bump or can a bonk off the wall be possible.  Nice approach, but I just am unhappy with the results.

godson: A taxi is a car, so its completely legit in my book though I do weigh in its boosting advantages. However, your quirky quick stunt won me over. It was simple, but stylish and executed nicely. You made the simple flip not be a cop out with this stunt, but integrated it with a nice touch.

Voted!

I gotta agree with Samurai here - these weird fuckers who have 1-minute clips for a 10 second stunt, complete with HQ links, random music, lots of titles and graphics and everything else they can think of like flying penguins wearing jumpsuits and seals dancing the can-can to try and boost their stunt - just fucking fraps it, then maybe V-Dub it to a lower-file size and then YouTube the fucker!!!

yeah, its annoying to wait 40 seconds for a 10 sec clip. Cut the 'dude1 vs dude2'*climatic song*, *few flahses*, 'challenge: perform the best blablabla' *more flashes*. Its annoying as fuck

Um Well I hope that dident effect your vote on my stunt(The 1 minute video thing) I was just following the trend, everyone wants a fucking tube and so I try to at least make it pleasant to watch, Someone else can Tube my stuff, I wont bother toobing anyone else either. Thanks guys, I dont think its poss by bonking the tree or wall alone, I tried for awhile just with just the CSM. Hey godson, how much thought was put into your stunt? its looks like you just kinda went "Hey I could do a boost backflip off that and then maybe boost up there.......I did it!" Not really a fluke but it does kinda look sloppy IMO. Anyways its was fun. Congrats godson/

TB, two things:

1) don't be a grumpy git if the judges don't go for you
2) All I'm saying personally is that it makes sense all around if you just clip the stunt itself - lower file size, quicker to upload and bang up here. Messing about with titles and music and even effects is a bit daft just for a video submission of a stunt, leave all that fancy crap to ofthemountain and VenomX when they edit the GTASL4 vid when the competition is over!

The way your vid was edited did not effect my decision Turtle Boy. It annoyed me yes, but that clip isn't the only one

If the stunt was cleaner,  I think I would've voted for you, but I just can't stand to see a sloppy landing. Unless its super freaking high or small landing area.....but for your spot. diff story

next SL, maybe we should have some clip rules lol. or some type of format

When I clip stunts for TMS (lol, that's a rarity these days), I don't use Vegas at all - fraps it (15fps), then open it in Virtual Dub, use the DivX codec or whatever, double the speed and save it. Then it's ready for YouTube. This can be done in the time it may take for Vegas to actually fucking load up lol

I was gonna try a backfilp to grind with a hotring but I couldn't get the grind..so I decide to use a taxi car  since a taxi is easier to get a backflip with..So then I decided to do a backflip2boost so then I found the spot and landed it, it took me a while though, Yes I know it wasn't a very clean landing

Great stunts both of you but I'm gonna have to say that Turtle Boy's stunt was better for me at least. Using a taxi was totally out there and I'm pretty sure if Godson did not use a taxi then this match would've belonged to Turtle Boy. Still nice stunts, both of you, one more than the other.
