Planet Earth (2006)
South Pacific (2009)
Life (2009)
Yellowstone (2009)
Madagascar (2011)
Frozen Planet (2011)
Africa (2013)

BBC have of course made amazing documentaries for a long time, but the cinematics and production techniques are just getting better and better. Also, almost everything (afaik) from 2005 or later is filmed in HD, which is a huge plus for me at least.

I hope you enjoy! I don't know anybody who's watched this and not found it worth their time :)

I also started watching Banshee the series Daffy just posted, only seen the pilot and it's pretty good so far.

^They are all amazingly epic! I recommend them honestly.

Also some other less known series: Arrow, American Horror Story, Hannibal, Suits.

It's dark, it's gritty, it's mystic and ominous. Typically southern. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have a great chemistry together and while their characters don't come off as a dream team, the tension between them makes the series all the better. And I'm only on Episode 1.

If you love HBO TV Series and also films such as Winter's Bone, True Detective is your shit.
