He was mainly on GTAForums, I'd known him through there as well as guys like Turtle Dick and Sweet during the early days, but lost contact with him. He was mid-20s to early 30s at the time back then so he'll be older now, perhaps lost interest in GTA or gaming, but he was a solid guy.

I called him Mixy-Pixy for short, but his name was Dave. He worked before at a university or college in America, something bout sitting on his arse all day in charge of inventory I think...

Anybody ever gonna write the last bit of TMS history?
Jad is there any scottish beer you'd recommend? I'm not much of a whiskey drinker.
Has anybody spoken to Tack or Kr3m again? I only remember they both said that they're done with GTAS years ago. Also sup with Juan & Pleth?
What's up with the UnknownNoobies YouTube account? No more clips gonna get set to private? There were some really awesome things which I'd like to rewatch.
Hadn't BoB used a slightly changed timecyc.dat file on Chapter 23? By who was that, Makrame?
What was the most underrated stunt in a TMS video in your opinion?

Awwww, dumbass :( Unlucky mate. What you gonna do instead?
Well.. in Scotland I was gonna study Digital Arts but if I'm stuck here I'll probably go with cybernetics and economic informatics.

Wait...what side of Digital arts? I'm guessing visual with your history, but thought I'd ask :P

UnknownNoobies doesn't get used that much anymore, some of the stuff we had on is set on private with the release of TMS I think.. Maybe even before that. I don't know who made the timecyc, and I don't know if I still have it. I still have an adited one on my pc, I can upload it if you want to use it.

TDs Infernus bump to the police station in Echo (the one from the gas station). Utterly ridiculous.

In other news, where the hell is Simon?! We used to be quite close ;(

WH stole his soul. I tried to save him but WH found out he was trying to socialise and I've not seen or heard from him since. I sure hope he's OK :(

Buggered if I know, if you check my very first posts on this account it also goes back to 2005. Probably something daft like an old account went tits-up, made a new account, got it merged or whatever.

I've always looked to TMS's videos for inspiration in terms of how I should record stunts, camera-angle wise that is and I wonder what stunt in a TMS video do you think has the best camera angle(s)?
In my book it's Kingjad MAG (mid-airgrab) from Bamboocha but again I'd like to you know your personal favorite.

Surprised at you Daff, one of the worst ones that was IMO for an angle - you never really got to see how good (or lucky) that delay grab was due to the view switching to the top. One of the only times I've griped about Tack's otherwise marvellous editing. Can remember kaneda posting saying he was also disappointed with the view shown in that stunt lol.

As for the very best cam angle...hard one to call, thought Techjam finisher was done in a cool kinda way. With Bob, Tack and Kert in the crew we were spoiled for choice with excellent editors.

Who originally came up to name "Twisted Metal Stunters"?

From the TMS History page:

In the beginning...

The history of TMS starts in the early SA ps2 days. Buzzsaw and Gotups made really impressive ps2 stunt vids which inspired other people to start stunting. The first XSA crew vid "Domination" was released and people like JDHJJ, Turtle Dick, DeathCobra, smallbrady89 and Sean Johnson aka Sweet started making a few ps2 videos. JDHJJ joined the unknown BaseMent crew, while DeathCobra joined XSA.

Twisted Metal Stunters

June 18th - 19th 2005
Turtle Dick, JDHJJ and Sweet continued making solo vids. When Turtle Dick released his third ps2 solo vid, "Destruction", Juan (of XSA) wondered why the three of us didn't form a crew.
JDHJJ left the BaseMent crew and later that evening the three of us started a new crew.

June 20th 2005
Sweet released "DeVasTATiOn", a really bad quality vid with awesome ps2 stunts. With the SA-PC version being released a few days ago, Calcos joined the unnamed crew. JDHJJ and Calcos were discussing the crew name when Calcos came up with "Twisted Metal Stunters". Sweet and Turtle liked it, so TMS was born.

--------

There ye have it, some random person called Calcos came up with it. His greatest ever contribution to TMS :P
