SA Un-Modded Video Releases / Re: Solid Ground 2
« on: August 18, 2016, 01:19:09 PM »
Fuck yeah, Never Catch Me and Frank's Track. Awesome soundtracks as usual!

I'll write a full review later, it was amazing.

In Solid Ground 3 I'm expecting the Based God  :euro:

That was awesome. I already seen the stunts many times so nothing new to add there, some very creative ideas and toty's guest was awesome. NoLimit, you've shattered my expectations - that was one amazing editing. Especially considering how in the current circumstances at GTAS there really isn't a large audience to motivate one to even finish an editing job, let alone put in a proper effort in it. I salute you for doing this one with your heart (and for including great soundtrack choices).

It's a 9/10 from me overall. v2 coming in 2026

Fresh! I even found myself really enjoying the tank stunts, which is a major rarity for me :D Great work.

PM: I presume there was heavy inspiration from Krypton's Vendetta?

Not that there's anything wrong with that! You also made the colour effects far more sophisticated and the CC was spot-on (almost felt like a modification :cc_detective: ). Great job from you as well! :a-cheer:

Standouts:
Promagic's grind to rooftop, Sport's squalo bump, Chiler's hotknife bump

Editing was good and consistent. I didn't really like the first track but the second one was really good.

Also, RIP Alibi's Shamal. :')

Might write a longer comment when I get more time. For now: excellent video, SA is not dead, and thank you PM for your outstanding patience. :a-cheer:

rip BT, once it was a good editing crew.

mad cus bad?

Unfortunately I haven't moderated this place for a long while, so I cannot really do crowd control (or front-post updates for that matter...), but I see where this is heading. And therefore I'd like to kindly ask the both of you to not let it spread. At least not here.

Just in case someone was wondering... we're not dead.

I've got something in progress that should be released in the foreseeable future  :euro:

On top of that, we'd like to welcome aboard one of the few remaining bright points of today's GTAS editing scene... Art. Hope you'll have a cracking time with those of us who remained.  :a-cheer:

Wow mehmet that grind at 0:46 was really dope  :a-cheer:

Solid work everyone, I thought the editing was suitable but the music wasn't that good.

I reckon it's now a good opportunity to thank

Beat Sear Burn Raekwon KillaMarci Stevex Odd Daksad Ralleee MaCi Krypton Daffy...
...and two guys that remained hidden

for saying yes to me joining WH, even after several botched auditions and the fact I've occasionally been this random troublemaker with a moderator badge (I mean it, comparing myself from early 2011 and now... the difference is clear).

As far as the stunting ``career'' goes, that was the highpoint for me. Given that in 2008 everything took off for me exactly after watching Doperide III (and of course that I remained engaged with what WH was producing throughout my time here and on the temp forums, whenever you see WH, it usually meant it's top-notch quality), finally being able to join felt as good as it can get. It's been wonderful stunting with all of you and I hope I've been able to at least slightly contribute to the subsequent successes the crew has had.

But, perhaps even more important than that, it was great interacting with everyone. I always felt like within our section I could talk about anything that bothered me, no matter how irrelevant, and would receive excellent feedback. You're really a bunch of amazing people, and I hope that this will continue on within the HoF private section. :cc_detective:

Community Videos / Re: Exsequor - VC/LC/SAiVC Community Video 2015
« on: February 27, 2016, 04:06:20 PM »
Whoa! It's so nice to see that in 2015 the community dished out a better community video than Trinity or Solidarity! The intro was excellent and had a powerful message, slick scripting and editing throughout. The editing was massively good and had exactly the proper vibe, the first soundtrack reminded me of Lagoon (thanks, now I'll have that video stuck in my head for the next 20 days  ), and the stunts were consistently enjoyable. I have to say my favourites were Mehmet's (especially 6:24... could well be the stunt of the year, just wow!), ZeRo's, Vicarious' & SS'. Finally, awesome work Nem for pulling this off and bringing in some well-known old faces I never thought I'd see again!  :a-cheer: 10/10

Blog / Re: GTAStunting.net Forum Awards - Results
« on: February 20, 2016, 03:39:46 AM »
A vote always makes a diference, no matter how "tiny" it is

Well said.

Anyway, on that note, I apologise for not voting. Life's been a mess for the past month or so and I didn't even visit this place (and therefore didn't even know the awards were happening). I'll make sure to follow more regularly for next year!

I am happy that the forum awards tradition (that I was so hyped about since joining this place) is still alive. What makes me even happier is that Wasteland won the best video award! It was my dream to be in a WH VC video (given that the first stunting video I saw was Doperide III), and to receive further acclaim on top of that is just amazing.

Congrats to everyone else who won something, was nominated on something, or even just produced something for the past year. Thanks for keeping this place alive. The fun aspect of stunting and producing videos should transcend the levels of activity on a stunting forum.
