MP4s...
« on: January 11, 2007, 03:50:42 PM »
Lately I've been fine with my PC- until now. I can't play MP4s. No matter what I use. It keeps saying "Class not registered" in WMM (10 & classic). Anyone know how to fix it?

You need to use VLC media player, you can DL it from here.

Edit: Sorry if you mean Windows Movie Maker, I haven't used that since my old school vids. Ain't that right final. ;)

re-install your codecs. I had trouble playing MP4's some time ago, so I reinstalled the codec pack I use, and they started to work again.

I meant WMP, no idea why but I have a habit of calling WMP WMM and WMM WMP. But I'm sticking to WMP, it's worked with MP4s before, no reason why it shouldn't again. I'll try getting a different codec pack, since I've tried reinstalling.

That's not the point. There should be no need for VLC if it usually works with WMP
