Order either the Elgato Game Capture HD or the AverMedia C875, the other alternatives are using horribly bad compression techniques that leads to bad quality.

Yes, I have the Elgato and the quality is great. But it doesn't matter much anymore because YouTube has reduced processing time and pretty much halved the quality of uploads. So in the past 720p on YouTube looked like 720p on a monitor but now the quality is quite bad. So I would just go for whatever is the best for the latest generation of consoles. I think Avermedia has a newer device, a YouTube comparison is usually best.

For the AverMedia C875, is the video stored in the device, or do you need to by an external hard drive? The other AverMedia CC I was going to get had you buy an external to store it all.

I would, but my PC is too far away from my console and i have enough ethernet cables and wires on my floor as it is. Thats why Id really like one. 160 aint bad as long as it doesnt need an external hd. I look into it more though Thans Nitro

I think you'll need an SD card or an External HD to record with the avermedia but don't take my word for it like I said

I'd look at getting at minimum a 32gb one if you want to record properly haha!

I bought that like 1-2years ago, it sucks. Really. Couldn't make work the software since I'm on 7. Get an elgato or avermedia.
