The greatest ever stunt
« on: January 12, 2011, 04:14:06 PM »
I want this pinned - and I ain't kidding. I've finally decided to publicly release this.

What you need to know:

1) This stunt is possible to do without RAD's method. I've reached the rail on several occassions, but never managed to grind. Therefore if you use RAD's method to land this you're making it quite lame IMO lol. Personally I started my run-up just underneath the bridge from Leaf Links.

2) The closest someone has come to landing this, as far as I'm aware, has been Tackleberry. He hit it all perfectly, and grinded the whole rail - only to bail on landing on the ground on completion of the grind. It was the most sickening thing I'd ever seen and it wasn't even my stunt! Can only imagine how poor Tack felt.

3) I discovered this stunt after watching a very old GTAS community video - before I had come to the forums, and before TMS. Someone did this p2b, but landed on the police station roof. I then wondered just how much further the bump could take you. If anyone wants ideas for stunts, look to the older videos and try to improve on the stunts you see in them.

4) Nailing this stunt will surely mean you've got a stick-on finisher in any vid. It's simply my best ever find and it's hard to think of a stunt that could top this.

Good luck to all those who try it. To any in TMS who are annoyed I released it, I could no longer sit onto it - someone has to land the fucker.

Wish one of us in TMS still had the video clip of his attempt - think he originally uploaded it to share with us on Putfile (that's how far back this stunt goes!)

I've been trying this naturally for a few months and got close to the rail with masses of rotation, the packer isn't necessary. Just take a RAD runup, then come out a few seconds away from the bump and control a wheelie towards the ledge. TurBo originally show me the spot as a natural bump, but got to the grind by accident.

No problem :ninja:, sorry if I came across like a dick by the way, looked back and it and although I had no intention of it I seem a bit pretentious in the post :P. Would have looked cool with the packer and it's definitely far harder to get the bump naturally, but you can get lots of rotations (although I assume you also can with a packer), and of course it just looks nicer :)

With a packer you don't need RADs - I assume naturally you would need RADs. Both would be very difficult to nail.

That ring keeps hating me, tried the other day and couldn't get one good bump. If I was really desperate I'd try the run-up in reverse the whole way...
