Should we have one thread only for jokes, funny links etc.?

No, we should create a new thread for every fun stuff we post.

Jokes and other "lol-causing" threads
« on: July 17, 2006, 01:33:22 PM »
In my opinion the Off-Topic subforum is rather flooded with unserious threads. I'm talking about when people makes a new thread just to post a link to a funny page, article, joke etc. I have nothing against that these are posted, I like having a laugh sometimes... Though I don't like that I have to search in many pages when looking for a thread, just because of all the unserious ones. The "unserious threads" I'm talking about often go off-topic and they usually don't get that many replies. Therefore I think we should have ONE thread, where we post all funny stuff (unless it's something really big and "local" for GTAS).

For example they have like this on the Swedish GTA-site "GTASajten.com" (http://www.gtasajten.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14212) and their off-topic subforum is much cleaner then ours, even though they have much more members and threads.

Well, that's what I think. Please vote now.

Yeah, we should stick to one thread, and it should be stickied so ppl won't use the arguement that "The old one is dead so I made a new topic to share this funny shit withya!"

It happens all the time, so most of us are the reason behind it.

Fuck man why are people voting yes. We all know whats gonna happen, all the funny shit is gonna get piled into one thread that know one ever checks, wtf. It will be cool at first, but It will slowly fade to shit as it does on every other forums. GTAS aint that organized come one guys.

Yes. And if someone were to make like a 'central fun topic', I would gladly pin it. I think I might change the number of topics per page as well in Off Topic

I have nothing against making a joke thread but it wouldnt last long unless it was pinned and we already have too many pinned topics. Why not just put it in forum games or something?

you should split em up, half the threads in off topic are fucking pointless, im here for stunting and graphics, not to see read some bulshit, although some links are funny, i think they are a waste of time, and if they were split up then only the people who were interested would go and post in them

I like making 1 topic per funny thing. I don't think it's spam, it's just some of us GTAS members need a laugh now and then.

Cheerio.
