Title: Fleeca Heist Challenge
Post by: Rorxy on March 26, 2017, 03:20:25 PM
hey all,

So I figured here would be the best place to get an answer. I'm part of a community where we speedrun heists over on the GTA Forums. Fleeca is my specialty. The bike jump we do at the start to the Kuruma has rarely been altered, but I was always convinced that you could use a stunt jump to get better air to jump the river or the bridge, or to stunt jump an element of the bridge to launch you on the bike to where the Kuruma is underneath.

You can see the jump we use at the start of the video here: https://youtu.be/4WA-314eSLM (https://youtu.be/4WA-314eSLM)

So I am completely open to ideas for any route on the bike taken from Alta or Integrity to the Kuruma (they seem to take the same amount of time). I am convinced that with a bit of stunt trickery that there are a few ways to get air to jump the river, bridge, or both to get to the Kuruma fast.

One method we experimented with at one point was wheelying over the side of the bridge above the Kuruma and using one of the lamp posts as a stopper to drop down next to the vehicle. Could never hit it consistently so we dropped that idea
Any takers for this challenge? :D Will credit in full if we end up using it to break the World Record again.

Thanks for reading.

Nice job! Now do that fucking prison heist. I used to do these heists with totally random people and I can tell you, my patience has never been tested as much.

Thanks! Heists are all about teamwork especially on the bigger ones so it's always best playing  a with friends or reasonably skilled players. Randoms are too unpredictable.

We did Prison too yea. Our crew has all the world records  <_< . Links below. I was just asking about a Fleeca stunt .

There's not many reliable spots to that position, it's at such an awkward angle compared to the rest of the run-up - perhaps with some luck, bumping the small ledge you drive off into the sewers could provide some help however the angle and the speed means you'll go way too far

However, bumping that ledge to skip going up the sewers should save about half a second.

Thanks for your input.

Yea if you hit the jump at full speed you either die or go flying over the bridge even which is why I experimented with going full speed over bridge until above Kuruma then wheelie jumping over the side to drop next to front of car. Can also use a knock against lamp post on bridge and or the shipping container below to reduce speed but hard to be consistent .

What about when we ignore the route to the right of the bridge ? Went over the bridge and off the side instead ? Or the left side of the bridge . We have always ignored it as it seemed like a dead end .

The run from Integrity might have a better run and jump angle to the front of the Kuruma. Can view that line at the start of this video:https://youtu.be/e70zm6QKEOE  (https://youtu.be/e70zm6QKEOE)

Will be experimenting with this route compared to Alta later this week but I think Alta remains fastest .

I use that first shortcut to go to LSC all the time, or if someone in a car is chasing me :p

If you use a bike that can wheelie then you'll usually fly over the storm drain, but like Orange said it's not reliable.  You'll find yourself landing badly most of the time.

Here's a happy landing for you...

Also, the left of the bridge is a dead end, like you said.  I guess if you kept going at it then one day you may get a lucky bit of lift and be able to clip the hedges for a double-bump, but you'd probably have more luck trying the plait snot.

This is great thanks a lot .Is that a Bati or Akuma? Wonder if with a double bump that might even launch me into the tunnel.

Sorry I don't understand what you mean by plait snot?? Is that a really difficult jump or something ?

That's a Ruffian.  It's my goto bike for freeroaming as I find it the most reliable stunt bike.  Using a mix of stunting with fighting, I need to be able to know I'm more than likely going to make the jumps I hit.  I wouldn't want to guess how many times I've jumped on a roof while being chased and then sniped the other player while they look for me :p

Had a good bit of fun experimenting on this jump with the Akuma last night during some Speedrun down time. When aiming left of the guard house landing and a very hard break you might just be able to wind around into the tunnel.

My team mate also experimented with jumping over the trains on route to Kuruma from Integrity Way also.

Certainly needs a bit of grinding and high risk but will make for an interesting start to a heist run even if not competing with the world record .

Looks like you're struggling to get your bike in an upright for the landing. A little tip there would just be to let go of your control stick entirely and the game will automatically put your character upright for you, just make sure you give it enough time to adjust.

Hah don't I know it. This was just from 30 minutes of trying and I am no stunter. Will spend longer on it soon. Thanks for tips !
