Userbar Tutorial[/color]

Today we're going to make a userbar. These are commonly used in forum signatures. This is what we will be making:

Step 1: Create a new document with the following information:

Step 2: Fill it with any colour, it doesn't matter for now. In the colour pallete, select the foreground and background colours you wish to use. I am using Black And Grey. Navigate to Blending Options > Gradient Overlay, and use these settings:

Step 3: Now we have a background. Now it's time to move onto a logo, emblem or an image to represent the userbar. I am using the current GTAStunting logo. Paste the logo into your document, press CTRL+T, and resize and position to your liking (Be sure to hold CTRL while resizing to keep the dimensions):

Step 4: Choose the Text Tool, with the font Visitor TT2 BRK (Available on Dafont.com under "Visitor". Use 13pt, with no anti aliasing. Here is what it looks like now:

Step 5: Create a new layer (CTRL+Shift+N), and fill it with Scanlines (Click for scanline tutorial!). Change the Opacity to 40%. Here is what it should look like now:

Step 6: Using the Elliptical Marquee Tool to create the following selection:

Fill the selection with white, and change the Opacity to 15%, and the Blending Mode to Soft Light. It should look like this:

Step 7: Create a new layer above everything else, press CTRL+A, then navigate to Edit > Stroke, Use 1PX - Black - Inside.

Done!. Have fun making userbars.
