I think it would be a good idea to not overhype these "future projects"
Why? Is it overhyping letting you guys know we have something going on?

Probably cause expectations in general lead only to disappointment.

Not always. But for Warfare.... :c

Another question: have you ever eaten any kind of sea food?

And it's our fault if people get high expectations, it's their choice how much they hope for.

Of course, it's awesome. I like most of the fish you can eat, especially perch, salmon, plaice and of course different kinds of herring. :a-cheer: I also love shrimps and crawfish. Toasted bread with mayonnaise and shrimps/crawfish is delicious! :)

Well that ain't our problem, I'm only proud of being in a crew where the level is so high that kickass (in general standards) videos are called average. I mean Devour II and Warfare were both great videos and I know that released by any other crew or as a collaboration they would've been praised and called videos of the year, it's kinda demotivating but unique awesomeness at the same time.

We like getting people to know that there's a video coming but as you have noticed we don't say anything about the level of the video so I wouldn't really call it overhyping, just letting you know that there's something on the way.

When you plant a seed in someone's head that something is coming and it's going to be huge, it's pretty much your own actions that lead to the unsatisfying feedback.

Just stop doing it, you'll get far better results.
I doubt that the editor has ever said that it's going to be huge. We don't do that.

The result is still the same as for the video whether we hype it or not, for example Warfare or any other video would be exactly the same whether we hyped it or not, what it affects is the quality of the feedback and I doubt there's many who give a shit because of the fact I mentioned first in this post.

Sadly, you weren't around (I think) when Megaton was in the making.

You're right I weren't around or at least following the SA stuff that much, I don't know or want to know what happened but considering the outcome I'd say you can't overhype a video that awesome.

Sorry for the editing, I didn't edit any of the posts points though, just the language. :P

I'll have to agree to be honest, indeed Megaton was called several times 'the vid of the vid', 'video which has only finishers' etc, not that it wasnt good but it did overhype.

To WH-How well are you in touch with other fellow crew members and who are the ones you're the most in contact with within the crew?

Lol, it's because of your willingness to answer questions.

What's your favourite Meshuggah song? Everyone has one.
