I was debating on whether or not to do this but after recent events (one of my best stunts being landed) I've decided it's the right thing to do.
I'm not going to be stunting anymore. You can take that as official or unofficial as you want, it doesn't bother me. At the moment I have no will to do it apart from maybe the 'last video' kinda of motivation, but since whatever I land seems to be easy for most people, theres no point. I've uninstalled all my stunting versions of GTA, all I have left is what I need to convert SV, which when released I will be deleting.
Thanks to Omni, ATS, TMS, WH, Alex, Si, DC and everybody else who has supported me.

Well I'm not doing it for attention per say, I just don't find it fun, and I would like to focus on other things (video editing, cod4 crew, website development), I just always find myself stunting when I'm bored, which is more for attention.
If I end up enjoying it again at some point, will probably be nothing more than just pissing about, showing some friends on MSN. If I happen to get roped into SV and make a video then so be it. I can just see the roof whores ruining SV anyways
(Oh and I'll always be in ATS, if they let me, of course)

Hmmmm...not sure how to react...generally, I don't really care when people stop stunting. It's just a hobby, after all. The same applies here. Do whatever ya want, simple as.
If you're stopping because stunting isn't fun for you anymore, it's the right thing to do. If you're stopping, however, because others seem to be surpassing you and you think you may be inferior - then it's a poor excuse. For years I've shrugged off the fear of inferiority and just dug deep to contribute whatever I could.

Mainly the first one, but I was slowly getting stunts for a last video of something, and many of them have stopping.

Aaww, I thought ATS had released a new video.
I think it's a good decision to leave. It's pretty sad how people become addicted to stunting (no pun intended ) and just can't stop. Nobody should do stuff they aren't comfortable with.

Actully i'm getting some bored at stunting to not at the stunting it self more this community because everyone is just saying that people that come here and is good from the beginning is modders.... and just generally bitching about everything :/

Me and you too Matt mate but I gotta keep going, just for XSA's sake. I find it a chore getting stunts but as you say when you have nothing else too do you may aswell stunt for others to enjoy. You've always been a creative stunter and I've found it great watching you grow as a stunter and editor since I told you about this place many many moons ago.

Even though we don't talk much, I've always had a very high amount of respect for you. And I just want to say, it was a pleasure taking part in a video with you. Allot of people say like "One, day I'll be in a video with Kaneda or Barney." But I think people should put your name in there, because you've earned it. GTAS would be so dead if it wasn't for you. You've carried us over the blood and mud instead of dragging us through it.
I respect your decisions. And I would like to thank you for everything you've done for ATS, the site - stunting as a whole.
Someone make a big fucking carving of him in some mountain or something.
I wish you luck on future endeavors. Try not to get too drunk and it's all good.

I can't say "sad to hear" really cause I think you've just done first what a lot of us in the crew have pondered with over the last few months. So I gotta say I completely understand your decision to retire.
You've been a great addition to the crew and a good friend. Best wishes in whatever hobby ya find to interest you now a days. It's been a pleasure. And just cause you've retired doesn't mean your not ATS anymore ya wanker.

I'm still staying on the forums, and I'll still be admin and pay for the server (though please, donate). I wish I had the motivation to stunt. I'm glad a lot of people can relate to me, well actually no it saddens me.
I think though, I mean yes I have VenomX, Ofthemountain, and Nitzkit online 24/7 to chat to about stunting, when 2 or more of your favourite people to stunt with leave, it just becomes boring. I haven't really sat down and had a real good stunt since Samurai and Kaneda left. Hey maybe they'll be online over Christmas and I'll manage to get a few to put in my last video.
Thanks for people for being so mature though, I expected more "attention seeker" posts to be honest.

I don't see why you should stop, the bsm i "The Awakening" shocked everyone including me why stopped trying it cause i didn't think i was going to land it.
You don't have to best the best as long as you enjoy what you do, come on Skype and talk to some of us while we're racing for a stunt for instance.
If that's really the road you wanna walk, then i guess there's not much left to do but to make my hat off and wish you all the best.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't see this coming...but it's still a definite loss to the crew. You and the other lads from DSU were the perfect addition to ATS. You've got a great eye for stunts and sufficient dedication to pull them off. More importantly, you never had that insufferable brash attitude that appears way too much here now.
This might come out wrong, but I'm glad you've made a solid decision about diverting your attention to other things. You'll be missed when there's a call for a new crew vid (due 2012, I believe ), but if you're enjoying whatever it is you're doing instead...more power to ya.
You've been a great stunting companion and a great inspiration to me personally. Of course there's always a place for you in ATS (duh!), but as always, never feel pressured to step up. Do what ya gotta do and just drop in occasionally to let us know you're still kickin'.
I know how you feel about stunting...I just don't have the drive any more myself. I'm busy as hell, which doesn't help. But I also just don't find it fun. Partly because of the decline of the community, partly because I just find other things more interesting. More than anything I just hope you had fun while you were stunting.

Some good vibes in this topic and I can't do anything but agree with what most had said.
You're an inspiration and a valuable asset to keeping the GTAS community together.
On a more personal level, we had some great talks and I regret that due to lack of time on (atleast) my behalf that it's nothing more than a good memory.
Also I'd like to thank you for bugging the hell out of me joining in on giving VC another chance after One Mind was released. I had some fun in that period staying up late for the vid and sharing ideas.
There you have it boys: Interests shift and nothing (except Neo) can live forever.
I know some will take this the wrong way or have problems 'accepting' the resignation of an 'old-skool' hero but fact is that people have lives to attend to and their involvement only increases more over time.
I'm thankful for pulling the stunting scene through in these troublesome times, and am even surprised it lasts this long.

i dunno if u remember but when i introduced myself 1-2 months ago i said that i was trying to learn VC stunting. but then i lost my confidence cause i couldnt do almost anything right there. then i saw one of ur VC stunt vids and thats what inspired me to try my best and learn VC stunting

I find that quote quite worthless and the meaning of it pretty obvious. If anyone makes a video, he/she does it for showing others (notice I'm not talking about stunt videos only). If not, there would be meaning at all in making a video. And people are stunting without trying to get stunts for videos too, so I really don't get what ZeroX want to be said with that.
No one would make a video and never show it to anyone, so what's the problem?

What ZX means is there is always a little bit of each stunter that enjoys being appreciated by others, and if that stunter doesn't feel appreciated by others, they loose a bit of that stunting motivation. I agree with him.

Whats wrong with that? Its not called "stunting" for no reason. I doubt allot of people would skate if they didn't have people to share it with. Even some people consider stunting as a chore as they just like to make videos.

Stunting is not the same as it used to be, I know I'm beating a dead, moldy carcass of a horse, but it's true. I make a video for my own eyes, because it's fun to do. It's not fun when I post something and some random comes in tearing it down so they can stroke their epeen. And If I don't release it, I don't have to care what they think. Because they won't ever be able to rip it apart when they haven't seen it. Editing music and video together is just a fun thing to do, I really enjoy it. I might not be good, I might be horrible, but I enjoy it. And as long as it makes me happy, I'll keep doing it. Why ruin a good thing?

I think what you mean is, you make video, obviously to show people, but it's not your sole purpose to make that video to IMPRESS people, you aren't determined or anything to make people enjoy it like some people, you just make it for the people who do enjoy it.
