Title: Need information
Post by: Uther on May 10, 2018, 01:54:57 PM
Im working on my first solo and I want to do it something satisfactory.

My question is about editing replays. Let's think that someone is gonna edit my stunts and want my replays.

How can I send my replays to him? How can I save my replays in editable way? Im so confused in this situation.

I tried to use Freeplay but it crashes a lot and it is so annoying. I want to see my stunts with different camera angles and some other shit, different from ordinary videos.

Put all your replays in a Rar archive and upload it on sendspace or something similar.

Then the editor will start his game with freeplay in and will do the rest of the job

All you have to do it is upload the replays or directly send them to the editor !

Hope to see that solo soon  ;D

How can I save my replays? I heard a thing about overwriting replay files can be annoying.

commands:
F1: play your in-game replay but dont save it
F2: save a new replay
F3: play your saved replay

go to "documents/gta sa user files" and look for "replay.rep". every time you save a new rep it will substitue the actual "replay.rep", so when landing a stunt, save a replay and change its name to something different (I recommend saving with a name you'll remember this stunt without needing to open SA to watch it).

editing: you could do it for yourself or ask someone. if you ask someone you'll need to save all the replays into somewhere like google docs or even upload them by saving a RAR archive

playing the replay: simply change the name of a replay to "replay.rep" and put into GTA SA user files (dont forget it there or you'll probably overwrite it)

anything else feel free to PM me :D

not many as before, but yes there are still some guys around

if you can, I recommend that u try for yourself, get inspired by some videos, study freeplay features, so u dont need to ask somebody. I remember PM and tracker for now, but im sure there are some good editors around yet
