Did your GTA V wishes come true?
« on: November 02, 2011, 08:00:25 PM »
I know it's probably too early to speculate, but based on the initial launch trailer - did any of the things on your V wish list come to pass?

As far as I can see the only real thing about the trailer that struck me as something I wanted to see was a more realistic population. That was present in IV, it just looks like it's been taken a step further for V. I'm yet to see whether or not the time of day effects the density of pedestrians, but it seemed to be a feature of Read Dead. That game also had stores shutting at night time, which I'm hoping will be present in V.

Apart from that one match, every other wish of mine is either unaccounted for or is a bust (no new city, for example).

to remind yourself of your own wishes, or see those of others.

I thought the city looked awesome, can't wait to just fuck around in it. I hope the physics aren't as gay as in IV

San Andreas was a fun map, and this will be just as, but this time much bigger it looks like. Did you see Mount Chiliad? That bitch looked huge.

I wish the stunting is possible in this game. Trainers or USCMs, whatever...

I just want Rockstar to entertain me like they usually do. Only real wish is a new environment/map and a new character.
Hah.. :(

Still pretty excited for this though, mainly because I like the more serious style of GTA and I'm wondering how they will make San Andreas interesting again. This looks like it will be in between crazy fun and serious business.

Partly. The map (not being like new york with every building and street looking pretty much the same), a good variety of vehicles, planes are back, the story looks sooo much better than IV's int he trailer.

As long and they sort out the vehicle handling i really do believe that this will be a good game. It makes a big difference to me because for me IV was pretty unplayable just because of that. And the vehicle being in the center of the screen would be nice instead of off to the sides  <_<

Just take a look at the police chase scene, the red car crashes into the police cars and it didn't lost any traction off the ground when taking the a corner. It seems to me handling was dramatically improved.

I expected it in Vice City with a city of Miami well remade. But i'm not so desapointed about Los Angeles it looks awesome. When the guy running in the street with policemans it looks a bit crappy how he run. I hope the gameplay won't suck as LA Noire. And as many guy said, it looks like The Sims a bit  :| But Gta never disapointed us ( ok chinatown wars sucked but I never played it :P ).

Now i'm just hoping we don't play an old man working for young gangsta

This aaaand, I like how the protagonist introduces himself :D I also like the fact that Rockstar didn't show him in the trailer (or maybe...).
