Yeah but I don't know if the runup counts, I could be in the grass in the very start of the run up and just leave it and land somehting whitout touching the grass anymore

Yeah Rod doing what you said would count. However some judges might like it more if you utilise the challenge more. Depends on what you have in mind really, but as long as you're on grass for some portion it won't get disqualified.
