Thoroughly enjoyed it. It's great to see media ABOUT stunting and the psychology behind it. I've always pondered (after the 27th backwards bailed landing) what the hell am I doing. Three major components invariably come into my brain though:

- community
- discovery
- expression

The community and the people I most often connect (the other crew members) pretty much became the primary driving force for me personally. I think if I went it alone and didn't really connect with anyone, I would have lost interest much sooner.

Discovery is also a big factor. Finding a way to utilize that speck of terrain to get to that target before anyone else has stimulates that brain gunk. Not only that but unearthing a new and effective technique that everyone else can apply - it's like you're contributing to the longevity of something you love.

Finally - expression. I could spend two months scaring birds in the park and then editing footage of that into an entertaining (and somewhat worrying) piece of media - but it doesn't really bring with it the previous two points, and doesn't sound wholly fun either. Stunting taught me a lot about editing and afforded me the opportunity to get my own sensibilities and styles out there into the world. It's not a large world, granted - but it was enough for me.

I really loved the video, man. Not only for it's deep dive approach, but also for that indulgence in your own sensibilities and style. The above is just my cliff notes version.

Oh, and spectacular JC4 stuff by the way.

Thanks for the feedback. It's cool to read about other peoples experience and couldn't agree more about the discovery/expression side of things!

Fascinating, steeped with interesting points and topics which cover a way broader scope yet remain pertinent to stunting. That was a great watch.
