I love how MMM appears from nothing every three months and creates a weird thread that becomes extremely active given the current activity in general  Not that we are talking about what he posted, but some other interesting topics and I actually like to see this activity, I mean I haven't checked gtas for 2 days and boom a thread with 3 pages  :o Keep it up Boyan!

Too bad nobody ever attempted an actual prove.

I actually like Flat Face's statement: If you can't do it on the PS2 version, then it's modding. Should apply for SA as well in my opinion.

However it depends on what kind of stunter you are, like some see it as a kind of competition, others just do it for fun. I usually tried to see it both ways, until I realized there's no neutral base so competition is kinda pointless, since it will always depend on things like honesty or the power of your system.

But then again it's also pretty hard to balance this out, just take CS:GO as an example. Those who play it "professionally" usually meet up at a LAN, where they can use their own keyboard, mouse, monitor and headset, that's it, everything else is usually the same for the participants.

Inb4 Payton's remap DFF fucks with bike physics thus causing myself and Reaper to have inadvertently invalidated everyones PCJ stunts over the last few years ;)

Not sure, but if he removed bodygroups or the like it could be likely. I know that one of those DFFs exists for SA, the one where you only have the dual exhaust.

I recall that Fox said something along the lines that the bodygroups and such also get used for calculating the physics, but I have no idea what kind of impact it has if they're not there anymore. But then we all know how nitpicky GTA is with it's gta3.img file, right? Who knows with what kind of mysterious magic Rockstar managed to get this engine even working*.

*I also recall Fox saying this one time.

But again, it all depends on which way you see it and it's already too late to establish a "standard" anymore, so whatever.

Oh c'mon wtf  Even if it's true the real impact on performance is minimal. The fps thing, yeah when it comes to big air stunts might come in handy but also lower fps makes rotation better. At the end it all it comes down to dedication and luck. If you're willing to spend 100+ hours on a stunt you will likely land it. Most people are not willing to do that, get frustrated and move on to the next stunt. I'm one of those people. If I get annoyed I don't see the point, I don't want to fucking throw things lying around me like I've done playing CS or FIFA. I liked to stunt so I could listen to some music and have fun with a stunt. I do however respect those who gave it all and landed some of those awesome stunts. I make no excuses like "the engine is broken".

Found some of the topics where Fox said those things, though he wasn't going into much detail(he usually did on ICQ, just ask him if you want to, but don't tell him I told you :P):

The last one is propably the most interesting one, especially the last post from Shadow Sniper:

It's the tick rate that increases with FL off that makes the most difference, but the framerate also makes a contribution, I should let Fox explain when he's back . It also changes the speed and stuff though, and your chances of staying on the bike are better too, but again, Fox would be better to explain .

But sadly Fox didn't came back to explain.

if you use allbeast's skin the player becomes more aerodinamic, thus you reach higher speeds

Wow there even was a poll about this: http://www.gtastunting.net/index.php?topic=13542.0

To anyone who wants some more insight on how SA replays work, this seems interesting: http://www.gtastunting.net/index.php?topic=11656

iirc I'm pretty sure aslong as you don't move any of the nodes it doesn't affect the handling to the point you could essentially strip the DFF of the model and have an invisible bike but aslong as the nodes/collision file/handling.cfg are intact it'll perform the same since the nodes determine where the parts are, the collision determines whats solid and handling determines weight. I don't know how that'd work with SA's extras on the vehicle as they're saved in the .dff under extra1/extra2/extra3 etc but I never got the feeling they had a collision judging by how far the rail sinks into the NRG when grinding with say the wider body.

Yes, his tail stucks in the ground, which significally improves your rads, and his alien super powers give you even more good bumps, BUT he never uses it when stunting anyways  :cc_detective:
