EVGA make MB since 2006 with the famous 680i LGA775, they had the particularity of having NVIDIA nForce chipset for 3X SLI x16.There are always EVGA MB but uncommon except in the United States and you should not be afraid of spend $ 400 on a motherboard.

honestly, it's just a gimmick, I received it with my RAM.

Here is my retro computer area.

Specification (from a distant past):

CPU: Intel Core i7 980X Extreme Edition @ 3.33 GHz
MB: EVGA X58 SLI
RAM: G-Skill Trident X 24 GB (6 x 4 GB) 2400 MHz CL9
HDD: SSD OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 PCI-Express 480 GB and RAID0 WD Velociraptor 1 TB
VGA:  EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked 3 GB
PSU: Seasonic PRIME 1300 W Platinum
SOUND: ASUS Xonar Essence ST (with H6 DAC Expansion Card)

LCD Monitor: Duall screen 30" 2560x1600 Dell 3007WFP HC and Dell 3008WFP
Sound Speaker System: Logitech Z-5500 5.1 THX
Headset: Sennheiser 380 Pro and Game One

Please overclock that 980X ASAP - you'll go from 3.3GHz all core turbo to 4.0GHz easily just with 200 bclk, 20 multi and some vcore bumps. Can also push it a bit higher depending on how good the chip is, X56XX series xeons can hit 4.5ish.

My i7 980X already had experience overclocking:

I remember my EVGA X58 running hot (nearly as much as my old GTX 580 SLI) on the northbridge with BCLK increasing. Therefore, I did with the multiplier o/c. The stock frequency is enough for GTA III/VC and about editing I use GPU acceleration with CUDA.

I'm in awe of your bi-CPU

I thought "does this improve your performance when gaming" but I'm kinda certain it doesn't

only thing that improves is swag points, 2 CPUs in 1 mobo
