I heard Linux Mint is also quite beginner friendly.
Regarding LXDE, I'm not really liking it. It's just missing a lot of features that you think are "basic", like dragging shortcuts from the menu onto the panel. Instead you rightclick the applications panel and then add them from there, too many clicks for my liking, but then again you only do this once so it's not that big of a problem.
And so far I haven't really found a theme that I like, most of them don't seem to support GTK3 anyways.

+1 for debian, though I'll propably switch to Arch sooner or later. Also screenfetch sucks on raspbian, lol. I must say, for a 35$ computer this thing is quite useful, I use it for web browsing, watching youtube videos and such, emulating PSX and playing DOOM.

You can actually change the model used in replay files, atleast I know that JayFoxRox did this once. If I remember correctly, he changed the model from the default cj one to a cluckin bell employee one in a TMS video(not sure which one). It's not easy though and requires hex editing of the replay.

It's because Fraps uses it's own codec(FPS1). If you have any codec pack installed, uninstall it, then reinstall Fraps. Should fix the problem, atleast that usually worked for me back in the day with Sony Vegas 9. If you didn't buy Fraps, it could also be that. In that case, just get the demo version from their site and install that one.

There's no need for an SSD to record footage. The only thing that matters is that you record your footage to a DIFFERENT harddrive than the one you have your system and/or game installed.

What? San Andreas replays shouldn't be limited to 25fps, as long as you don't have the frame limiter turned on. The whole frame limiter thing works with mysterious magic in San Andreas anyways, propably because of that stupid 25fps limit. It was 30fps for Vice City, if I remember correctly. And the funniest thing is, the higher your fps, the more max. speed you can gain in SA. But that applied to Vice City as well, that's why most videos were done with FL ON. I always wondered why that didn't caught on with SA, propably because of the 25fps instead of 30fps limit. Edit: I found this thread, which is about replays playing too fast, might be of interest: http://www.gtastunting.net/index.php?topic=65524.0To be specific: Do you have vertical synchronization enabled? Might be another thing to test. As I said, SA's frame limiter works with mysterious magic.

Watching this was like meditation for me. Also loved that ending scene.

SA-MP JC2-MP CSS zombie + surf maps(I basically ONLY played those) kreedz climbing mod
And I think the best memories I had with kreedz climbing mod, even though I didn't play it that much, mainly because most maps were so frustrating, but when you finished them after the 500th try, you felt so damn proud of yourself. Pure awesome.

Also finished System Shock 2 the other day in coop with a mate, pretty fucked up game towards the end.

To be honest, I found the dev diary more interesting than the whole game. But then again I'm more curious about how things are made, rather than what they do. But Robert Briscoe really does some great level design, de_forest is still by far the best forest map for the source engine. His blog is also worth a read from time to time: http://www.littlelostpoly.co.uk/my-retrospectivepost-mortem-on-dear-esther/

Kairo Portal 2 Tomb Raider Anniversary Urban Trial Freestyle
Really enjoyed Kairo and Portal 2. Tomb Raider Anniversary was good, though the controls could've been better. Urban Trial Freestyle is a joke, glad I only payed like 3€ for it.

Propably not, the question is how old is your current power supply and which brand? If it's older than 5 years, propably better to get a new one. 700W should be enough for the next 5 years, even when you add in a few extra harddrives or a second graphics card. I'd also suggest looking for a modular one. Also it should have atleast an 80 plus bronze certificate, I'd actually recommend gold. That basically means that the PSU won't fail to supply it's full power even under heavy load, which cheap PSU's usually do. More information here: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2025425/how-to-pick-the-best-pc-power-supply.htmlI'm currently running with a 380W power supply, however my GeForce GTS450 "needs" 400W, according to nVidia. Been using it now for a few months, no bluescreen, no sudden shutdowns, nothing, works like a charm. As for a suggestion, I'm not really up to date when it comes to companys, but the usual like Corsair, OCZ and Seasonic seem pretty reliable, according to a quick google search. However, this list seems pretty good to me: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.htmlNever save money on a power supply, think of it like the foundation of a house, if that isn't build properly, the whole house will fall after some time.

Turok -> Turak -> Torek -> Torekk
My thought process when I was creating a WoW trial account, somewhen back in 05. Though I've used the name KampfKater for a while, which is another reason why it's torekk with 2 k's.
