I've finished GoW2 on Hardcore together with my friend now and it sure was worth the money just because of that. The game is very similar to the first in the series when it comes to most things, but the environment and how the monsters act is much better. It's a nice experience playing through the campaign.

I have tried a little online play too and it seems MUCH better than how it was in GoW1. The Horde gameplay is a nice feature too, I like it a lot. I could actually think about keep playing multiplayer in this game, something I never enjoyed in the first one (it sucked, tbh).

Everyone who liked GoW should try GoW2. If you didn't like GoW at all though, GoW2 probably isn't a game for you either.

I just finished doing the same thing as well (well, not on Hardcore though). Although not a big fan of the series myself, I still find it fun for the odd (very odd - I only played GOW1 once fully) coop play-through with a mate (who, in my case, is a fan of the series), and so I did enjoy rampaging through the campaign. Horde also provided some interesting moments, I can only imagine how much cooler that would be with 4-5 people.

I was considering purchasing Midnight Club LA, as it looks pretty cool from the shots I've seen, and its got some decent reviews (well, I dunno, haven't looked into that aspect much, I think I only read one or two). Still not sure about it though, I haven't played any of the previous titles in the series, so I don't really know whether the gameplay is something I'd enjoy, also I have heard that the difficulty can get pretty frustrating at times.

I'd like to try Far Cry 2 as well, I did like #1 (mainly the earlier, beach'y, mutant-less levels). Of course my compy probably couldn't run it, so I'm hoping my bro might buy it and I could try it out on his comp.

I beat GoW2 on Hardcore too, Gonna do Insane on coop, hardcore was like insane on GoW1 IMO. I don't agree that the multiplayer sucked on the first, it didn't have that many modes but it was still one of the best games I've played over XBL.

GT:WT is almost out in australia  Can't wait.

I'm still waiting for my shitty movie store to put GoW2 and Fallout 3 on the shelves, they still haven't for some odd reason. And they're usually so up-to-date with their newest games

Grats on finishing school.

I haven't played gow or endwar, but fallout 3 is amazing.  Fable... not so much.  I was really let down by it.
