SA Un-Modded Video Releases / Re: [SA]End of the Line
« on: March 28, 2022, 04:22:32 AM »
This video is by no means perfect, nor is it the best stunting video ever. But what it does like no other imo, is conveying the essence of stunting San Andreas like some already mentioned. Just having fun together in a dated but beloved game, that's what it's all about. The adaption of the iconic PS2 visuals and graphics, alongside many other small details (POV footage, Gotups' bike, etc.), really complement the package too.

I have not given a rating on the stunts yet, so I'll mention the ones that stand out to me personally.

Ktulu's Cabbie boost to palm recoil to antenna precision: The execution with the spins, the plane passing by and the smooth landing on the radio tower were simply perfect.
Jeff's Bmx and Monster Truck catapult to LS airport tower: No idea what you're smoking, but that's jeff in a nutshell. Genius usage of the game's possibilities and visually appealing & super satisfying to watch.
Bart's Infernus vertical double bump to The Pink Swan roof: Quite possibly the biggest Infernus stunt from the ground available and extremely difficult.
Jeff's Vortex helimagnet backflip to grind: Yet another stunt with very smart usage of the game's mechanics. The easter egg in the outro acknowledges your unique thinking perfectly.
PrzemOO's Bmx stoppie to explosion bounce to grab to grind: Nicely executed and I feel like this is a stunt that combines rather dusty stunting techniques very well.
Ktulu's Nrg500 lateral packer to bump to 4dragons top: Ridiculously big with infinite hangtime. Wish I had been this lucky when I tried it, but I got used to getting owned by you.
Ktulu's Nrg500 double bump to wallride to antenna precision: About time you got to land it. Love the execution with that wallride. Well deserved land after all those years.

Overall it is clear that Bart & Ktulu were pushing it hardcore, but everyone did well. The inclusion of older techniques such as grabs and C4 + the variety of vehicles is a bonus in my book. Personally I am not too satisfied with my apperances (apart from my last stunt in the video), but that's fine considering I lost a few stunts and had spots getting lamed by others over the years. Furthermore I simply got too lazy.

@SS: My Infernus water gap was unfortunately not shown very well I think. The severity is bonking the difficult to reach beam at a shit angle, whille maintaining velocity for the remaining distance to the other riverside. Here's a clearer view if you're interested:

Thank you all for the feedback on YouTube, Twitch, Discord & here - much appreciated! I expected a whole lot less activity in 2022 to be honest.

SA Un-Modded Video Releases / [SA]End of the Line
« on: March 27, 2022, 08:52:46 AM »

Hey there! It's been quite some time since I last posted a project around here, but well... here I am for possibly one last time. To be precise, I wanna present you a farewell video, which - at the same time - is our homage to San Andreas.

The project has now come a long way: it started all the way back somewhere in 2018. In the beginning it was Ktulu & me only, but we struggled with the progress and had jeff joining us in for a trio. As time went on we gathered more and more participants (PrzemOO, Bart & Artifex) for the stunting. During the process I think we've all reached the point where stunting no longer was fun anymore. Instead it felt more like a tedious and necessary duty, only to get this over with. Lack of interest and motivation led to the insight, that we might be better off just stopping for good after this. Taking these struggles and a few minor setbacks into account, I am still very thankful for all the valuable contributions everyone has made and I think it turned out well. It really was a pleasure to have you guys on board for a final ride.

As for the editing job, Kacknase was kind enough to accept it at first, but unfortunately he vanished at some point last year and we had no more intel about the further progression. We hope he's doing well and I wanna thank him in the name of all participants nonethelese. Artifex was then kind enough to pick the project up. He managed to realize the video with the iconic SA live / console video feeling we were looking for. Thank you for taking all the time and especially for constantly taking our critical feedback into consideration. Shoutouts go out to MtS & Reynolds for helping out with several stuff during the creation progress hereby as well.

I liked the Frogland Heroes intro. It's always good to see scripted cutscenes. :euro:
In terms of stunting the LV university stunt with the tank bump was overdue - well done. Nonetheless, the finisher really stole the show. The overall level was sweet and I guess you guys still had fun putting something together in 2020. Song, editing and cam angles weren't really my thing. I think this could've used something more intense, but I'm sure you folks like it the way it is.

I've had that LS highway P2B laying around for 2 years already. I liked whoever's execution it was better tho.

Opener: Well MMM "landed" it before so it was no surprise and the execution isn't that great honestly. Nonetheless, it's a pretty difficult and all natural stunt, so props for the effort it must have taken.
Bump2palmbump2top: Nothing too crazy, but I like it. Straight forward and natural too.
Grab2grind: IIRC you've pretty much done the same in your duo video one building aheady. This does feel like a filler honestly, which could've used a twist.
Curb2doublegrind: This seems to be a filler too and the execution wasn't too great. I'm sure it's real fun to try.
P2b2walltap2roof: That's unfortunately just another reland of a previously modded stunt.
Sandking bump2doublegrind: I think these ledges didn't work too well for a double grind. The first was a lil short and the second one unfinished. I like your unusual thinking and willingness for something fresh regardless.
Car bump2bb: There's been too many car bumps to BB tops on the LV highway already to make this one stand out from the bunch. I like the fact that you didn't lame it by using the "peds drive sports cars only" cheat for easier car bumps tho.
Airport doublebump: No idea how hard it is to get the stats it takes, but it looks not too easy. Would've been crazy if you hit the crane more to the right and just straight up drove to the top.
Wallride2backstoppie2grind: Very nice technical combo. Sliding into a backwards stoppie was probably a first and nice to see.
Hotring barrackbump: I am not much a fan of barrack bumps - especially when the landing is something that's in reach from the ground. Seeing a hotring put to use in SA is nice to see tho.
P2b2grind: This is a spot I have tried time ago too, but I was always too stupid to get the required recoil from the hill. The execution looks really slick. Well done, certainly one of the best stunts of the video.
Infy barrackbump2prec: Now this is good use of baracks bumping! Very nice to see someone properly land on one of those domes.
Prog's top landing: Another spot I've tried tiiiiime ago too with Infernus & NRG without success. It bugged me for years that Makrame didn't bonk the edge to the rooftop in one of his solos. The execution was cool with the front flip inbetween.
Infy dropbump2prec: That's more of a filler too. grescha simply rocked that ship before. It does look fun to try nonetheless.
Raek's p2b2b2prec: Yet another stunt I've tried myself. Unfortunately this got modded years ago with FCR900 already (by Herrarge IIRC). The execution with the 360 looks really sweet! Props for the effort, I found the 1st P2B to be tedious.
3x grind: The stunt does flow due to the velocity, but the first two grinds are rather just sloppy slides. An all new and well executed triple grind really could've been something. It feels like the spot had way more potential to offer.
Threesixty2wallride2grind: This is another technical stunt I really like. The approach is sweet and the stunt was well executed with that lil bump at the bridge.
SF bump with grab: Were you aiming for this or was it just a fluke? Nonetheless, kinda cool to see a proper airgrab in SA, even though the landing was nothing special to aim for.
Infy barrackbump2prec: Probably the best one can make out of a baracks bump. Unfortunately you got a lil unlucky with the car sliding slightly over the edge at first, but that's fine, since you were able to correct it immidiately.
Prog's naval base landing: This is another spot I gave a few shots long ago. I don't really know what to think of it tho. Considering how closely you managed to land it, this is probably the most we're ever gonna get out of this spot. I have a hard time beliving someone's ever gonna get it naturally.
Finisher: Well deserved finisher in my opinion. Straight up natural stunt with big stats and a clean landing.

Editing: I think you've done a fine job considering the invested time Anton. Nonetheless I feel like there was a lot of potential left unused. That's probably because I always had a completely different vision in mind of how this song would work out in a video.

Overall: It's a pleaseure to see you still releasing stuff after such a long time. I gotta say the stunts in this video were either hit or miss to me kinda tho. The ones that hit, hit hard, while others were bummers. Anyways, big ups for the effort and for keeping it alive & real.

Just WH things :euro:

I remember Daffy being all for allowing FL OFF in VC too, probably he's been fucking around with that - just a thought. I wouldn't expect him to intentionally mod a stunt, but who knows

SA Un-Modded Video Releases / Re: BlackTear - Unreleased Stuff + Fails
« on: April 08, 2020, 02:52:35 AM »
We're pointing at the clip in the video, not any other attempts - so focus on that and shove your newly made ones up your bum. How about you care to explain the difference Prog clearly showcased instead? Well you can't, that's why you ignore it. You never had clay feet, so fuck off!

Fun fact: Recording your monitor/keyboard additionally doesn't prove anything. The footage could be treated the same way I already described. Audio gets slowed down alongside game speed btw, so that's no indicator either. Apart from that you can't nearly provide the quality (mostly framerate) it'd take to clearly distinguish every single press of a button.

Calling a live video leftovers just shows once more how retarded you really are.

SA Un-Modded Video Releases / Re: BlackTear - Unreleased Stuff + Fails

You most likely just stunted at a reduced speed (SLOWITDOWN i.e. equals 50% game speed iirc) and sped up the footage in post to fake the default speed/look of the game. The excessive amount/speed of inputs while controlling the backwards stoppie is what Prog wanted to point out. If you compare the two, you can easily spot the difference in rate.

Just do everyone a favor and uninstall this game already :)

Some of you have undoubtetly modded in the past. What's the sheer reason behind it? I'm questioning this for real since I'm curious about what modders have or had in mind. Were you trying to gather respect/reputation, were jealous of better stunters, just did it for fun and did you think you could really get away with it? Please be objective :P

Appreciated for keeping it real - no tryhard stunting and a classic SA radio song used. While I liked the finisher most, I have a feeling it's been done several times before. The cyan/magenta'ish colors were a lil too dominant for my liking, but this was a chilled and fun watch nonetheless. :euro:

Edit: Thanks for correcting me below :P

The song and editing were too generic imo, but I guess ya couldn't go for much more than this - given the time you guys had.

That airgrab to grind by Herrarge looked really good! ARS' CSM was a great surprise and had a nice execution with that palmtree bonk. GDL's tank bump was another goodie. Props to Raek for landing that stunt to ledge - that's something I always wanted to do.

With all those grabs, stuckies and old names it rather felt like a video from the past.

In terms of the stunting level it was either hit or miss for me. Especially that opener was totally my cup of tea. The recoil tank bump at the dirt track, chimney kick to ship crane, air grab to palm grind, wallride inside the chimney to grind, Infernus drop bump in LC with the light post involved and the Rhino ship one were sweet as well. That Squalo to Reefer (?) hijacking was cool too and had a Just Cause touch to it. :P The others were just stunts to fill it up I guess. Song, editing and quality didn't appeal to me. :P Anyways, very nice to see you still kicking butt in 2019. :a-cheer:

@Biel: What am I supposed to be jealous of, your poor mods or disrespect/ignorance towards other people by stealing their stunts? :) I'm, unlike you, not the honorless asshole here trying to fool & screw people over for meaningless e-fame, so grow a brain and start making sense you peasant! I respect other people's effort very well, but only if it's honestly been invested & not faked by modding and/or stealing. I'm not biased towards anyone's videos, but you happen to ruin your own ones with such bullshit over and over again. It's also no coincidence that several people are independently naming & shaming some AR members. ;)

@Art: Apparently it seems like either you or your boyfriend Streem is butthurt about something, otherwise you kids wouldn't have wasted your time :'D
