I challenge you to do the same. And if you want to have an actual conversation, you need to define what 'breaks the physics' means. Until then you're just throwing shit at a wall hoping it sticks.

Gryz: 'messes with' is a bullshit, nonspecific, meaningless description that does nothing to explain what it 'messes up', just like saying that it 'breaks the physics'... how, in what way does it brake it? Does it make the game crash or cause NPC-vehicles to fly? Turn Tommy into a pink dildo? It does neither, physics-wise it's very similar to the difference in SA, the main difference is folks being used to it being the status-quo norm in SA. Now reps on the other hand, they don't work the way you expect it to being used to SA. Give it a try. If you don't know the difference in how it affects reps you obviously don't know enough to appropriately claim that it breaks ANYTHING.

Pretty sad, Max, pretty sad.

'Messes with' is a bullshit description, it's natural if you haven't changed any of the handling files. That's like saying every SA stunt done with FL off is 'messed up'. Just cut the crap. That attitude is the reason yall are complaining about 'stunting being dead'. And Gryz, your devils advocate point is irrelevant as stunting with FL off during the time no one could record stunts done with FL off wasn't doable. If it was practical everyone would have stunted with FL off, including me. Herb didn't say "you shouldn't stunt with FL off...->", he said "don't stunt with FL off". Pay attention.

Don't stunt with fl-off. It fucks with the handling.
It's a part of the game, he can use it for every stunt if he wants to. The reason we didn't/don't use it much in VC is because it makes the frame-rate uneven unlike SA unless you force vertical sync on, then the FPS will be stable at your monitors refresh rate. Most people couldn't record in 60fps so it wasn't used because it was impractical, you can work around that now and there's no reason to make up a bullshit arbitrary rule like that. If you wanna breathe new life into the game you start by not thinking in outdated ways.
And luli, just BLEUGH..

Sorry 'bout trying to join the race as folks have already crossed the finish-line but is it possible to try something for this? I should have 1 or 2 around and got a few hours here and there over the next 2 weeks or so.

you might as well try a different spot entirely
That kinda brings it full-circle back to my point though, that it's only a good stunt because it's done with a lesser bike.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna claim that a stunt which involves bump that can be done with a Sanchez is just as good as if it's done with a Hakuchou, but I generally have no interest in doing a bump-based stunt that could be done with a Sanchez as it's not pushing the limits of the game in that direction.
On the other hand, if it's a combo where using the Hakuchou puts you at a disadvantage over using a slower bike but with other features better suited for the job, well then now we're talking.

My point is this:
the issue with the haku is that a lot of people land ruffian-possible or bati-possible spots with the haku, making it 10x easier to do.
Why'd you wanna do the Ruffian/Bati-possible spots in the first place if we're talking spots that is just a single bump to a landing when you could be pushing the limits way further in what's possible when it comes to those kinds of stunts using the bike best suited for that type of stunts?

Nice one.
I find the idea that a stunt is only 'good' because it's done with a lesser bike kinda troubling though.

Why is there such a pride in enduring misery when it comes to stunting?
I thought it was about creativity, if you have something better suited for a goal... why not use that so you can achieve more goals?
The ONLY time I've used a slower bike than the optimal one was when it had already been done with the one best suited for the job.

There's a lot of codecs that uses the .avi container that Vegas doesn't decode, the best way around it is to simply re-render it using VirtualDub and a lossless codec like Lagarith or Huffyuv. Don't listen to the other bullshit options mentioned here as they severely degrade quality.

Does this make Madmax the member that's been stunting the longest? I mean I joined somewhere in 2004 and this dude had already made a name for himself.

Also a really cool video, kinda feel like it's one of those rare ones that broadens everyone's perspective on a particular aspect of the game.
For limiting it to one vehicle it had good variety, I'm interested to see if the Faggio can be used in any unique ways for some MP-stunts but I guess that's for another video? :P Anyway, badass stunts, I enjoyed the grinds in particular.
I'm not a fan of fading out the music, it creates a bit of an anti-climatic ending when it peters out after an intense video, sometimes it felt like the camera movements could have been slightly fast to keep up with the tempo of the rest of the video but now I'm being picky.
