Grand Theft Auto - IV / Re: IV multiplayer = Moded videos?
« on: February 04, 2013, 12:55:27 PM »
As far as I can tell, FPS makes very little difference. What you have to do is adapt your dipping technique based on your FPS. You need to be much more precise with a lower frame rate, that's about it.

Can you be more specific as to how I can improve my speed with my current fps (40)?

just go and train it. go to that street where i did that stunt its longest street in game (longer than airport) and train it. your goal is to reach max speed (180 with nrg900) and try using dipp so you get to the biggest nuber over 180. as i said i can dipp to 195 the most. that way you know how it suits your FPS and you will adjust the height and frequecy of your dipping

Lower FPS = lower speed (when using special methods to gain higher speeds than normal)

sounds pretty logical to me, but then again I know jackshit about IV so I don't really wanna be a smartass

if you mean by regular speed method dipping even that is better on more FPS. you can dipp on NRG up to 180 and thats maximum becose if you put front wheel down your speed will jump back to that 180km/h but if you are doing dipping on 30fps after you are already on 180 you can get max to the 185km/h for a split secound. try it on 80fps and you will get over 190kmh just from "one dipp"  that means

30fps dipping = 5km/h per dipp
80fps dipping = 10-12km/h per dipp

iam really thinking about selling my car and buying new computer just so i can see how it works on 200-300fps

anyone intrested?
j.k.

FPS doesn't matter with speed you say? No tire wheelie method gives me 200km/h max at around 40 fps. If I put my settings higher I cannot even get near 190. Which equals a fps of 25 for me.

Minor difference? I cannot even land a stunt properly when I put my settings on medium.

agreed! FPS matter in IV. and now as i see even playing MP. i couldnt land this shit for two days. after 10 minutes in MP its done.

yes in that wheelie method it does matter if you have 50 or 80 i have 80 but intresting is that on same FPS in singleplayer i cant get that speed. andi  am using SSs config so i dont really know. i will try it today with Promagic without any trainers :) iam intrested if its game mechanic or problem caused by SNT

and about that modding. iam not saying that everybody is modder but i just run into this problem that i go genuenly faster in MP than in SP so i just wanna talk about it. if it will be confirmed that you are getting bigger speeds in MP than stunts landed in SP will be more "pro" and unique.

i love when somebody is using his opinion like battleshout. i think its becose of simplenative trainer so its modding. also i was stunting with Promagic and he couldnt reach 240 km/h but i did every time. In SP? i never reach 240km/h

Hey guys i discovered that i can go up to 240 with my bati custom when i do no tire wheelie on multiplayer. on singleplayer i can go max 220.

but that means its not so legal to play MP for stunting

It's no surprise he reaches 220-230 on a straight SS, because he likes to use the wheelie method a lot :P. As for the burst tire method, I haven't found it that useful as it's only good on a really long straight (that doesn't have curbs etc...), although I have landed an awesome sanchez bump with it years ago but SS is too damn slow to edit the duo :cheersad:.
i belive that you teached me that method on airport trying land that satelite thingy there. but i found that curbs arent big deal with this method if you using bati custom.

Age is not relevant in a matter like this. I think you might have some kind of age complex.

The Bati Custom from TBOGT can reach 220-230 and it's better at wheelies than any other bike as far as I can remember.

PS: Shadowsniper, the default Hakuchou is also pretty good at this bump :euro:

220-230 on a straight? Or in the dip of a hill? If it's on a straight, I haven't played this game in too long :ninja:

you probably dont know about this GTAIV how to go faster [Bike]

i want to add why is bati custom best.
every bike with that secound method can reach 230. bati is best becose your wheelie is insanely high and you can easly bump very high objects.
