The well-known and much applied tool CamHack does not work on Windows 7 or Windows Vista but I found a patch and collected the files that's needed to get it to function properly again.
Download this and place everything in the same directory, doesn't matter where or on which drive it is.

Start CamHack using the "Run "SACAMHACK.cmd" file.

Extracted everything into the sa root, clicked the cmd, crashes when its opened :L

I had a problem with CamHack when I start this program she at me doesn't answer and once the computer itself has rebooted. Nobody knows what is it? :o

I know it's an old theard but if some people have probs either...google for version 1.5 of camhack ( I think it's a site with gtablabla.filefront)... I have win 7-64 bit and it works fine without any patches..and it works for 32 bit aswell... ( tested before I upgraded to 64 bit)

Just downloaded it, as well as the dx8vb.dll done all the cmd stuff, altered the controls (as i have a laptop) so that it opens via the 'k'. I open SA, and the moment i press 'k' the program shuts down and comes up with an error basically telling me that SA has stopped working. Really pissing me off as it's obviously registering that the cam hack is running, otherwise the hotkey 'k' wouldn't do anything. Any advice on how to fix this so that it doesn't close down my program and that i can actually run the camhack program, cheers guys :).

Tried this one, opens up CamHack - but, when I enable it. It crashes.

I have a similar problem like PK. I really tried a lot of things but nothing worked. I kinda lost my motivation to try it again. So, I hope somebody can help me. Here's the Problem: Always when I activate Camhack ingame, it crash. I can't find a way to fix it, so, I really hope there is somebody in this place who know how to fix it. I really need Camhack for a upcomming Project! Oh and btw. I have Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.
I hope for a quick answer!

I used to have that same problem until I started using a different hard drive. There's nothing I know of that can fix it other than that.

Some time ago I've read (on gtaforums it was I think) that CamHack has problems with some updated operating systems or specific hardware. It weirdly doesn't work for me either anymore, so probably some Windows update screwed it. Can't tell for sure currently, but I think it still works on my dad's PC which has the same Windows version running. For me the speedometer was the interesting thing of CamHack, but I switched to some other one by now. If you need it that bad, try a system restore if it still worked not too long ago. Probably just make a script instead if you want some specific camera movement.

CamHack never worked in replays afaik. There have been versions for SAMP & MTA though. Why don't you just use Freeplay?

Of course Camhack worked in Replays lol.
And why I don't use Freeplay? Because I don't get the same cinematic camera like with camhack. I don't get the movement in Freeplay. And I don't want to use Freeplay+Pan&Crop or something like this.. that sucks :lol:

Yup, it's actually how we do those cams. Freeplay freecam + camhack freecam. And here you go smooth cams. Anyone could reup this? can't download it anymore.

I finally can do those smooth freecams with camhack too. I'm working on the PC from my friend. ..something is wrong with my PC/Winows, I guess.

2.type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the " ") for xp users go to run and type in "sysdm.cpl"
3.go to the advanced tab
4.under the word performance click on the settings tab
5.click on the tab "Data Executiuon Prevention"
6.select "Turn On DEP for all services and programs i choose except for those I check:"
7.click on add the select your gta sa exe (look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\GTA San andreas\gta exe file)
8.play it
9.activate sa cam hack
Mines finally work, thank God.

Anyone getting the problem when Camhack actually loads, when enabling with * (and all default binds) it doesn't even do anything? When I press 8 numpad for example, it doesn't go up. Only control that works is * and /
